Scooping Armstead up would be a decent result.

He wouldnt get an instant transfer but itd be nice for later years. Speaking of which, last time i checked Oregons 2013 class was really bad so far
EDIT: yea 8 recruits only for a team ranking of 72th on 247

Hold your horses

@John_Infante: Oregon has not received a Notice of Allegations yet, so any penalty talk is premature.

The best thing for ND, is to beat an undefeated USC at the end of the season.

But perhaps the most damaging of the proposed findings is the NCAA and UO “agreed that from 2008 through 2011, the scope and nature of the violations … demonstrate that the athletics department failed to adequately monitor the football program’s use of recruiting or scouting services.”
Oregon acknowledges recruiting violations in ‘proposed findings’ | CollegeFootballTalk
From my understanding the NCAA laid a notice of inquiry in Sept.
UO and the NCAA agree their was/is a problem.
Could this be the NCAA doing what they did to psu?
This is what we have this it what we're talking about unless you agree to this.

Oregon always takes a while to get going in recruiting.

The real question is whether or not Oregon will appeal the penalties/how long the appeal will take. By virtue of USC's appeal delaying the sanctions for a full year it made a BIG difference... I'd be very interested to see if Oregon could manage to do something similar and delay the impact and give themselves another run at a title this year.

Within the week? When in the Fuq is Miami going to get **** handed to them???

As far as Oregon... I kind of hate to see that. I really do like them. Ever since they nabbed Jay Byrd out of STL, I have been a secret admirer.

I kind of like Oregon as well. Mostly because of their jersey's. I always root for them and Stanford to win the Pac12.

The problem is that Stanford is becoming a pretty big recruiting rival...

If UCLA can take their place back up at the top of the conference I am all for it...

Nothing to do with them being in trouble, but their RB commit Thomas Tyner is over 600 yds and 9 TDs tonight. Insane.

I wonder if the Nike money will be enough to get a slap on the wrist for these transgressions.

All that being said for Oregon, recent COI seems somewhat lenient given most recent rulings for major cases (see UNC, UCF among others).

My boss is friends with the Oregon golf coach and he has told him that Chip is one weird, quirky dude. He also recently built a huge new home in Eugene which is weird considering all the NFL talk. Chip has never been married and definitely leads the bachelor lifestyle.

Is the golf coach still Casey Martin?
