Yep, all those OL, plus Crawford/Adams/Fuller, plus the simple fact Stanley wants to return and play for Harry despite the high draft grade.

Great recruiter for the O-Line. Average at coaching great talent into a dominating unit. OSU, Alabama have dominating lines. Ours should be

You expect Koon to increase the amount of football knowledge?

No more and no less than the average NDjoesixpack1 ...

Some are dull, some are KEEN.

Much depends on just how the blade is sharpened.

Or left to wallow in disuse or neglect.

Please don't stone me, but I think there's some grains of truth in what Storm has said here. I wouldn't say Harry is average at coaching talent. He's probably Top 5 or so when we're talking pass blocking. Run blocking? I think the jury is still out. We certainly looked good at times against LSU, and we started the year looking good against Rice, but it was Rice. There were certainly games in the middle where we had some issues.

It's been discussed that the blocking style and offense being run affects all that, but honestly when it comes down to it has our OL recruiting lived up to the hype? Maybe with some positions/players, but have we been dominant? I don't know if we're there yet, we've been too inconsistent, although this could be the year where we have the OL that flat out mauls teams and asserts their dominance. We have the bodies, we have the depth, we should play to that strength. As mediocre as Warriner's recruiting has been at times, you can't argue that he gets a lot out of his players. He certainly turned around our offense using Charlie's guys, and our OL was pretty bad at times when Charlie was around.

Do I want to get rid of Harry? Absolutely not. He's a vastly superior recruiter, the pass blocking technique he teaches is very good and gets results. I'm not sold on how well we run the ball though, we're not opening the holes that we used to. It's great when Tarean can squeeze between a tackle and a guard and show his athleticism to gain a couple extra yards, but I'd rather see him run through a Mack truck sized hole and scamper for 10+. I think this is the year we can be consistent and dominating against all the teams we face in the trenches, and Harry can cement a legacy as the best OL guy in the game.

No. My statement about it being less interesting around here w/o Koon in the off season is a stand alone statement.

It's the off season. It's going to be less interesting with or without the Koon.

For those that miss the Koon, think about it this way: absence makes the heart grow fonder. When the Koon returns ya'll can profess your love and get hitched in front of the Library before the Texas game.

Fog is right, dshans!

The problem with this thread (and site for that matter), if it is a problem, is that people have confused behavior, mood, and character, with "football knowlege."

A) People take their prejudices and try to fit the circumstances the observe, to show them off to their best advantage.

B) That is why themes keep getting recited over and over.

C) And that is why the same people say nasty things about the same people, who some people think say nasty things, but it does't ever bother some of the same people, every time.

Kettle? Pot? Black? White?

The fog is heavy in this one ...

I've never shied away from my own issues on this site. Admitted them many times. I can comment on Koon just fine with a completely clear conscience. You've had your own issues but I don't bring them up every time you comment on something.

And I guarantee you that you can ask the mods who creates more problems for the site, Koon or myself, and they'll say him. Not even close. I know this for a fact. I'm pretty much a mouse on this site nowadays anyway.

But hey, nice efort. (<<<------- There, I gave you something to write about, so you can feel like you contribute to the site. )

Passive-aggresive meets deflective-aggressive?

There you go. Waist high lob ball. You've been given the "swing away" sign from the coach. Go for the fences!
