I stand for what makes sense, not jump with the crowd on a hot topic unless it again, makes sense.

I don't think Loy reporting a visit from a ND commit who made the same visit last year matters one bit, or will play a factor in his recruitment, no matter who heard something from somewhere from one person. You guys can jump on that train, I'm not a follower. I look at the whole picture, and this will be peanuts IMO.

That's simply a lie and you know it. You know that media members can and often do mess up recruitments. It's dishonest to say that's not true and you have been around too long to not acknowledge that fact. Many posters have given you examples and detailed this point ad nauseam, so I won't waste my time doing it again (although, i'm sure that would make you happy).

The larger point isn't Loy or this particular discussion (As it is in fact, a dead topic. One only being rehashed by you.), but rather your antagonist posting style and overall personality. You claim its simply being a "straight shooter", but what you really are is an antagonist. There is a distinct difference that I don't believe you fully grasp.

Someone needs to let BK know about Loy reporting summer visits. If he keeps screwing us by doing this, at this rate, we might be reduced to a Rugby team before Crossroads is ever finished. This has to stop.

2. He hasn't granted a single on-the-record interview to a ND reporter in months.

3. Other reporters knew about this visit for a couple of weeks but sat on it, and Beal did not tell them to report it (or else they would have), even though you think his love is out in the open.

So a kid does all of the above, and you STILL think he couldn't be more open about his love for ND? You've said some crazy, horribly wrong things here on this site (my favorite being that Grant couldn't play big-boy basketball after watching 10 minutes of a game, the first you had seen all year of ND), but this one takes the cake.

I'm with you Koon. A bunch of BS about nothing. If Beal was committed somewhere else I could see why he might not want it out while he's making a covert move but he's not so who cares.

If some here are trying to say Loy's CB will allow other schools to "negative recruit" then so what. Once again, recruiting is sales. You talk about your features & benefits, you compare and contrast them against other schools F&B's. You then reinforce your strong points and you overcome their objections regarding your perceived shortcomings and you hammer on their weak points. Everybody is negative recruiting.

Lastly, Loy didn't break the news that Beal was going to IMG this fall. That gets him out of the Hometown, Georgia to make his college decision. Great news for ND along with the revelation he and his sis are no longer a package deal... even though every school besides ND in the running is a track school. I read all that from other places before Loy. I can put 2+2 together. So here's my CB too.

LOL, there's no reason to believe he messed up anything. Beal hasn't complained, ND hasn't complained, Beal couldn't be more open about his ND love. Ironman had a theory based on a gut feel, which is completely fine, but you guys are running with it as if it's true from every side.

I think the ND staff would have preferred to recruit Hunter quietly up to II, so I think Loy really screwed ND there too. I have no facts on this. Who wants to run with me!

Actuallly For maybe the first time ever, I don't disagree with Koon... Loy did his job... He got information and reported it. If someone wants to say he made something up, or lied about something, then sure, crucify the man... But reporting about a players interest, when there is interest, saying he is going to a camp that he is indeed going to, is his job.

His job isn't to help ND keep away negative recruiters or people attacking Nd with Beal. Be better recruiters and get this kid signed and stop worrying about Loy reporting on your moves

Yeah, I'm done with it. It's just silly to me how nothing is actually reported, it's based on someone's feeling (which is totally fine to share), and all of a sudden we've gone from 'I wonder if this will help the SEC neg recruit in the meantime', to the 'ND staff is pissed off at Loy, he screwed us by reporting the visit, and this might cost them Beal', without a damn bit of substance other than someone's opinion.
