Get over the loss guys. Sometimes you just lay an egg. Look at even the super elite teams and they lay eggs. Lots of eggs laid by teams on the road at night. Look historically at that.

Did everyone fall apart In Ohio because a far superior Ohio State team loses badly to Purdue?

Was I devastated having to face my Scum friends after that loss, He’ll yes. It wasn’t like we laid down the rest of the season and gave up, however.

We totally smoked an ISU team in a bowl we were barely favored against. I was pretty proud of the team that day.

Go Irish!!

To answer your question about Ohio...I do recall the fanbase being livid and many swearing off Urban. Truth is, many team play eggs. But laying eggs against a rival is a bit different that a meh team playing their super bowl at night.

Maybe this is my problem... I dont get excited because we smoke teams like ISU, that is totally expected at this point. Don't get me wrong, I love watching it happen. But if you guys didnt think we were going to roll them, come on.

In regards to the OSU loss. The difference is that OSU is a one off deal. Their recent history suggests greatness as opposed to just being good. Yes its a shock when it happens, but you still feel like your money is safe in OSU stock.

So much you bet on ND -3.5 versus ISU? 10-20k? More? Love hearing about some stone cold locks that people knew we’re going to hit so they bet them heavy.

If I was a betting man, I sure would have. (And had the money to do so lol)

Before you dismiss the 24 point victory over Iowa State, don’t forget ISU took playoff team Oklahoma to the final play in Norman losing by 1. Then losing by 2 to a top ten Baylor team in Waco. To add another good performance was losing to a solid Iowa team by 1. This was a quality ISU team tha we rolled easily.

Be honest, nobody knew we were going to roll ISU like we did. Easy to bet on -3.5. Would you have been willing to bet $20k if the line had been -20?

Not on ND. ND is notorius for not covering big spreads.

Except last season. They were great against the spread last year. Hopefully it's a sign that they have REALLY turned the corner in terms of not letting little guys hang around for their 'Super Bowl' performance.

It sounds like a simple thing that any decent program should do, but this is literally how Clemson was tracking as a program before they got over the top. Win double-digit games, but 'Clemsoning' in the big games and get ridiculed for not beating elite teams... but ride the wave of consistency to continued success, steadily increasing recruiting returns, and finally getting over the top. And they did it with an elite QB/WR tandem.

I'd hate to put a bunch of pressure on Book this year and Tyler Buchner after that, buuuuuuuuuuuut the reality is that you need an elite QB to put your entire program over the hump if you're a team not named Alabama.

Everything falls into place after that.

I was thinking the same thing RE: Clemson. But with the absence of bagmen and steroids ND will be left behind.

Honestly I think whats really killed this team in the last few years is lack of a running game. ND really hasn't had much to fear in that way.

Bruno’s, Barnaby’s or Rocco’s...??? Can’t go wrong with any of them. I prefer Bruno’s personally.

1.) Rocco’s
2.) Barnaby’s on Jefferson, not Grape Rd
3.) Bruno’s. Although, if the right person in making it then it might be #1

Talk of the town now is Chivo’s. I haven’t tried it yet though.

My ex’s family was from Granger, so I’ve had them all many times. I’m not a big fan of Asian food but The Mandarin House in SB is pretty darn good too.

Get the Pizza swirls. You won't be disappointed. The pizza is a lot like Bruno's but a greasier and a sweeter sauce.

Mimmo's and Chivo's are former Bruno's that were bought out. I would take Mimmo's over Chivo's. Many of the football players also go to Mimmo's. They are very generous with their toppings and it is pretty inexpensive. Can usually get a 14" 1 topping for $10.

What is a one topping pizza? No italics.

Pepperoni, sausage and extra cheese every time. Any veggie will ruin a pizza.

One of my favorites

Mods may need to move all of this to a new pizza thread so Domani's thread isn't derailed anymore.

F*** him, he chose SC. The amount of joy pizza has brought me in my life offsets the amount of pain southern cal players have brought. I'm sure I'm not alone in this.

Pizza comes one way:

Sausage, pepperoni, onion, green peppers, black olives, mushrooms.

Anything else is a piece of bread with completely random shiit that you like.

And if you put pineapple on it, you are a woman eating dessert.

I second this. Went there with my parents after moving in freshman year, then went back every single time they were in town. I even walked there in the middle of a snowstorm with a buddy when we finished our finals. Maybe the best Chinese food I've ever had.

My random shit to this would be anchovies and green chile. Don't need the green peppers.
