Gunner Romney wouldn't, but Puka Nacua might. UNC has one of the best WR rooms in the country, so that doesn't necessarily mean much. Since Hall is experienced and has a much better OL than the Maye does, he may be more dangerous even with less athletic receivers.

Right. If the offense can maintain what they showed last Saturday, we're going to score a lot of points. Whether or not our DL can pressure Hall and our LBs can contain his scrambling is a different question though. Hopefully we can jump out to an early lead and then grind out the game by running Estime.

The last intriguing game to me to complete what I’ll expect out of BYU is the Ok St vs Baylor game.

They look very VERY beatable.

Their OL may not be UNC bad, but it's definitely not good.

And in terms of run blocking...they're just flat out garbage. They faced a Utah State squad that had one of the worst run defenses in CFB, and they managed 117 yards rushing (3.2 yards per carry). This same run defense gave up 200 yards rushing to FCS Weber State and 245 yards rushing to UConn.

Their DL isn't much better. They went into the game ranked on the wrong half of the country in run defense, and that number is likely to drop after giving up 204 yards rushing to a horrible Utah State squad that has been pretty awful at running the ball this season, sans the UConn game.

If ND's fronts come to play, they should utterly destroy them in that matchup. Hall is a good QB, and they've got some decent backs and receivers, but nothing like UNC or Ohio State. They should shut down the run and run at will on them.

Agreed. Watching that game shouldn’t give anyone assurances that this is an automatic win for ND b/c they obliterated one of the worst defense in the nation last Sat. ND should beat BYU but they still haven’t shown enough to earn the assumption that they will automatically beat teams that they are better than on paper or look like shit vs lesser competition.

The biggest takeaway I had from their defense was their tackling was atrocious. If that continues next week Estime could demoralize them.
