This is always a tough game for us for some reason. Hopefully that changes.

I hate Pitt and the spoiler train they like to roll on. A pox on the first person to suggest this will be an easy game. It rarely is.

Gosh it's so easy to mark this as the trap game this year. Coming off 2 tough games vs Sconny and Stanford right before the BYE week.

I want to apologize for ranting like I did. I may believe some of of what I said to a certain extent, but I let some stupid recruiting news turn my bad day to a worse day and that’s embarrassing. My bad for over reacting and being a jerk because I wasn’t pleased at the moment. Im good now haha.

It almost always is. 10 out of 13 games we've played so far this century have been decided by a TD or less.

We could have 2 Byes in a row, Pitt will always be a trap game.

One of the best DL in the country, Jaylon Twyman, said he is forgoing the season at Pitt and focusing on the draft.

3 starters didn’t travel to BC this past weekend due to injury:
DL Keyshon Camp
MLB Wendell Davis
TE Lucas Krull

CB Damarri Mathis and DT Jaylen Twyman are significant front line preseason losses.

I'll be up in da U.P.

Will have to find a local watering hole to take in the game. They will still be a tough out, don't think we are going to see as big of running lanes against Pitt's front 7 as we've become accustomed to this year.

The II fellas believe Pitt will be more trouble b/c Pitt is always a thorn in ND’s side regardless of talent.

Jamie & Mike on ISD think ND is just far better than Pitt regardless of their formidable DL.

Avoid multiple turnovers (especially pick six or scoop & score) and ND should win. (This is the caveat to most games this season other than Clemson)

if ND gets a chance they need to run up the score on these guys. Narduzzi deserves it

Pitt's now 3-3 and on a 3 game losing streak. Lost by one point to NC St and BC and then Miami yesterday. Pickett, their QB missed the Miami game with an ankle injury. They've given up 30 or 31 points in all 3 losses so that vaunted defense is probably not all that great.

They also had a close home win vs Louisville. I expect another low scoring struggle in which the Irish lean on the running game. Pitt's QB aren't the running threats we've seen the last two weeks so our defense should control them pretty well.

I am glad we played terribly this week because I don’t think we will have back to back clunkers and actually show up against Pitt for a change

Too many home games and a little complacency. Going on the road to refocus is what this team needs.

I love a power running game, but if you don't occasionally play action on first down, what's. the point?

I saw on the ESPN ticker last night that Picket leads (led) the FBS in passing yards. Is that right or did I misread? Not saying that makes him a world beater (Jurkovec threw for well over 500 yds last night & BC got rolled) but it did raise an eyebrow.

How many teams have played six games?

Dating back to the LeSean McCoy double OT game in 2008 I don’t think we have ever had a easy win against Pitt so I’ll assume this one will be frustrating

Maybe it was for total yards. He is now 8th with the DNP yesterday. He's 30th in QB rating.

Pitt's lacking a top RB this year which is making the pass more. Their run game is below average.

Shut down the run and force them to throw. Let the guys pin their ears back and get after the QB.

I feel like this is a make or break game for the passing attack.

Pitt will have no qualms about sending six on every play and staying in man coverage. If Rees and Book can't figure this one out then they're probably not going to.
