You can tell many of yall never lived in so cal. I HATE both with a passion but yeah,… nothing comes close to SC hate
I hear ya & respect your perspective. But I can hate SC as ND”s biggest rival & still respect them. I hate scUM and don’t respect them. They’ve always had it out for ND. They’re the reason ND never joined the B1G back in the Fielding Yost era. It was a blessing in disguise & from that SC became their biggest rival. It’s the biggest intersectional rivalry in CFB. OSU & UM fans are no different than SEC fans. They’re delusional, band wagon riding douchebags. The number of those douchebags far outweigh the number of douchebag SC fans.

I think proximity plays a huge part in general. I have basically zero interaction with USC fans in my day to day life so I have no real reason to hate them. On the other hand I'm surrounded by OSU and Michigan fans and trying to decide which fanbase I hate more is like deciding who I'd have hated more between Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan.

Exactly how I see the rivals. If you're a North Jersey/New York native like myself you've never actually met a real USC fan in your life. BC is a more consequential rival in my life.

USC will be a challenge. I expect that team will come out pissed after the loss last year.

That said, Michigan is not a good team. They aren’t well coached on either side of the ball, have one true difference maker on offense and the defense hasn’t stopped any decent offense (Oklahoma).

Yep. My old roommate from LA absolutely hates USC. My old roommate from Chicago absolutely hates Michigan. Me, from the Northeast, I lean towards Michigan hate but also hold a special scorn for BC.
One good thing about Notre Dame is our hatred, like our schedule, our recruiting turf, our student body and our fan base, is national.

Can someone post a USC injury report when they come out. What I was reading is their team is really beat up.

As far as opponents I don’t like (sorry not a fan of hate especially in the modern day), here’s my top 3:

Miami
Penn state
Michigan

Born and raised in SoCal since the 60’s so I’ve had to live with some ups and downs and given this is an annual rivalry there’s no comparison imo. It seems if you live closer to Michigan you hate them more than USC. I lived thru the Anthony Davis game and the next worse loss the Bush push game. I’m not an ND grad but USC is to LA what ND is to Chicago. Walk around like they are special and better than you. Tight network out here just like ND is back there. Difference is ND has always had academic and other high standards for their players while USC just doesn’t. I like to wear my ND gear out and about and I prefer to have the last win under my belt so I can strut and puff my chest out. When we beat USC the giant green ND flag goes up.
I still remember watching that game in disbelief. Still painful.

King Miller was class of ‘23. Not sure what he is eligibility wise but he’s not your typical freshman. He looks good nonetheless
Yes, as best I can tell, he grayshirted in '23, redshirted in '24, is now playing as a "freshman" in '25, and hopefully will be on scholarship in '26.

USC injuries to track:

- LT Paige
- C O’Conner
- RB1 Jordan
- RB2 Sanders
- CB Graham - first appearance with 8 snaps against Michigan. Expected starter at Nickel

Other guys that have missed time seem healthy. Ramsey and others that missed Illinois was food poisoning.
