I didn’t say they wouldn’t have an impact. I said it will be difficult to get to the QB based on their offensive scheme which is to get the ball out quickly. As you say, hopefully the inexperience of Slovis leads to rushed & ill-advised throws. Turnovers have killed SC and they’ve been attributed to both inexperienced QBs.
Georgia was able to scheme around ND’s elite edge rushers...plus they have a high IQ quarterback in Fromm who is rarely rattled.
The safeties are going to have to play better than they did last week where they struggled w/ missed tackles. Hopefully that’s an anomaly as both are veteran heady players who know where to be.
ND should be the best defense that SC has faced or will face
I hope this isn’t one of those games where we play down to our competition. It’s time to dominate them!

I love this game, because we get to play this psycho. Keep him out the endzone, Lea.
Make them show you your green.
Anyone not wearing green gets charged double koon

I was like "lol it won't be that cold yet" and then I looked at the forecast and saw it will be 42 degrees on Saturday night. These guys wont be as soft as FSU or Miami, but the cold certainly doesn't hurt ND's chances.

The only time I recall cold weather playing a factor was in the 2010 Sun Bowl vs Miami. ND players came out in shorts & t-shirts while Miami was bundled up from head to toe.
I’ve yet to see it play a factor in ND Stadium. I think it gets blown out of proportion in most cases. It is interesting that Slovis is an Arizona kid so maybe this could be the game where we see it adversely affect the opponent.

Literally the FSU game last year.
It's in the 30's or 40's everyday here from Nov - Feb. This ain't South Beach.
BTW, not that it's all that surprising but Slovis has been cleared to play and will start.
What I want to see in this game is more Book on the run, i.e. more bootleg, option run, and designed running plays - early / 1st and 2nd drives.
My dad was at that game! He was a '70 ND grad living down in LA at the time, he said he was so shell shocked after that game his (now ex) wife had to lead them out to his car as everyone in the parking lot blasted the USC fight song on their car horns.
We need to dominate them in the trenches. That's where we should have our (only?) advantages in this game. That and QB, although Slovis has looked better than Book in certain games.
If the weather helps us great, but ND needs to win this in the trenches. And they should.
I think their WRs, St Brown in particular, are going to play with their hair on fire. Same with Marquis Stepp.
And their stud safety is back.
I went to the ND vs asu game a few years back, it was in Nov. It was in the 60's when we left Vegas and 85 degrees in Tempe. It felt like hell sitting in those stands with no shade and this was mid Nov
