According to SEC fans, the transitive property is science when it favors their teams. So this one doesn’t apply since it paints SEC in a poor light.
Don’t forget the sec is 128483929183747-0 in hypothetical games where they should’ve been included.

According to SP+, East Carolina is the best defense NC State has faced. It’s probably Duke in reality.

QB Bailey and RB Smothers have both had very strong seasons.

Smothers is more of a home run hitter. They are only 83rd in Rush Success Rate. But he has runs of 40+ in four different games.

Their defense is 10th in Rush Success Rate and 36th in Pass Success Rate……….

……but 136th and 109th in Rush and Pass Explosiveness.

Same here, thinking of taking both them out next season and not even go to a game just visit campus. They will be 2 1/2 and 6 months at the time
Go to the blue gold game. Good way to ease into it.

Personally, SP+ isn't worth a damn and I do not pay attention to it. I understand its purpose, I just don't care for it or think it's particularly usefully. I could be looking at it from the wrong perspective, though.

Where are the rush/pass rates coming from?

NC State is a good opponent for us. They are thought to be a decent team. If we can do as well as we did vs Boise and Arkansas in controlling the game, the professionals will note that, and we will continue to slowly move up. Must win with control though.

I don’t think SP+ is gospel but it’s useful enough to gauge, especially at this stage of the season.

Basically any advanced stat you can pull from CFBData.com

Even though last week was Campbell, NC State is one of very few playing game 7 in 7 weeks.

Wonder how pertinent success rates are? They are ranked in the 90’s in yards given up per attempt

Remember Northern Illinois, everyone. Anyone, anywhere can ruin YOUR Saturday.

Better yet, remember James Franklin lost to an absolutely horrible UCLA team with his National Championship contender and first round draft pick quarterback. Mmmm hmmmm.

And never, ever, ever forget.....a sitting U.S. Senator lost a football game to Vanderbilt. I'm pretty sure Diego Pavia was playing, though, as he's 38 years old.
