I doubt that losing any starter outside of Reynolds would have a major effect on Navy. They've got more players than almost any other school and they drill like they were military or something.

i would think losing a starting DB with plenty of experience under his belt playing against a qb who just went for over 300+ and has shown he can throw the ball would be a missing piece they would like to have

That's always a cool thing that comes from the Navy game, you often get a fly over at the very end of the National Athem, or they'll do the parachute dudes. I always like when you aren't sure if they're coming, there's that anticipation, and then you can hear the student section starting to cheer at the end of the Anthem as they have the first visual of the planes coming in. The last Air Force game at home in 2011 they had a Stealth Bomber flyover, that was impressive.

They did a video a few years ago that shows the coordination that goes into it. Sometimes the jets might get there too quick, or the band may be a few seconds ahead (In which case the conductor tries to slow down the tempo just a bit to compensate if I recall). Definitely impressive how it all works.

It's easier for the jets, they don't have a CB hanging on.

They've been flying to Detroit for years.

On April 23, 2014, the St. Joseph County Airport Authority announced the airport was changing its name from South Bend Regional Airport to South Bend International Airport. The Airport Authority has had conversations with two airlines interested in providing service to Mexico and the Bahamas and indicated that it was looking at potential service to Toronto, Ireland and Europe. As part of the change, the airport will begin a $3 million(USD) project to construct a general aviation facility and a border customs area, to be financed through a combination of federal, state and airport funds.

Allegiant Air announced in March 2008 interest in providing direct flights between South Bend and Cancún, Mexico. The airport authority told the public in a press release that now is the time to prepare for the service, not later, due to the time it will take to get the customs facility operational, which could be a few years. The 2009-2011 terminal renovation did not include a customs facility, nor did US Customs & Border Protection open an office at the airport until 2014. However, construction is now underway for a passenger customs facility that will be linked to Gate A9 via a walkway. This facility will open in 2016.
