Lol, ok half this board has been calling Lugg trash for 4.5 years. Now he's an irreplaceable piece? If he can take that step why wouldn't 1 of Kristofic, Spindler, Schrauth, Coogan, etc....
And all of the board should know that OL is as much as about experience as a unit as anything. Show me one positive report out of camp or practice on Spindler. Not to say he & the others won’t do well next year…I expect them to…but I also know fans think it’s as easy as plug & play & will assume all ND needs is a functional QB which is far from the truth.

Well, Marshall and Navy both have top 10 rushing defenses.
Well, Clemson’s was rated higher than both before ND ran all over them so I don’t know what the hell to expect. Maybe we need BC to be a ranked team & ND to be a slight home dog b/c they’ve done nothing but play down to the competition regardless of their impressive wins over UNC & Clemson.

ND a -19 favorite despite playing like trash against the likes of Cal, Stanford, UNLV, Marshall & Navy. Now add in the fact that it’s Senior Day. GTFOH

Lugg has played way better under Hiestand, who we assume will be back again next year. That’s says the most. Not worried about replacing Lugg. Patterson to whomever will clearly be a downgrade but Alt and Fisher will be another year older. Correll now has real experience at C not spot appearances and playing guard.

Alt - Upgrade
Patterson to ??? - Downgrade
Correll - Upgrade
Lugg to Kristofic - End up being a wash IMO
Fisher - Upgrade
I’m gonna say Wagner starts at guard? I think he’s gonna be too good to leave off the field

As a former Al Bundy-like legendary high school return man,… it depends on the return. Most kick returns for sure. Punt returns are a bit different. Many times you don’t have the opportunity to go north south until you’ve made the first couple defenders miss. However,… If it’s a booming kick and you have time, yes get moving forward.
You never played football. Don’t lie.

Absolutely random question. If I buy things in the bookstore on game day is it possible to ship home from there or do I have to carry it around?

Last question. Staying about 2 miles from campus…is getting an Uber a big issue or normally not too difficult?

Should be easy but don’t expect to get dropped off wherever you want, you may still need to walk a little. Getting picked up after the game can be more of a challenge, but suggest just walking a little off campus then calling it

I don’t know your personal situation, but it may be easier to just walk if you’re only out ≈2 miles. Especially given that drivers may charge peak rates on a football gameday.

Idk. I’ve found it to be a pain in the ass. It’ll be a cold walk, but 2 miles is about a 25 minute walk(?). By the time you order the Uber, they pick you up and navigate through traffic, you could probably walk there.

I’m about 2 miles from campus too, I’ve found it easier to walk.

Based on the second half vs Navy, my guess is Boston College is going to blitz like crazy in the first quarter of this game. As they should.

Then we should toss quick little passes over their heads to our running backs while they do it. Let Tyree have a game.

Agreed.

However, it is slightly problematic that our starting QB struggles with throwing the ball over defenders heads.

The answer to Pyne's problem with the blitzes is already on tape. Estime's TD is all that is required of him. For whatever reason, he lost sight of the fact that a short relatively simple pass can turn into a homerun whenever the defense is sending that many guys. Instead he seemed dead set on holding onto the ball and trying to push it downfield. It was maddening and I honestly think Rees has the Kelly purple-face fear, because of how much pub "Do your damn job!" got. Otherwise, we may have seen it again in the second half of Navy.
