I always did hate Miami, especially during the prick-head Jimmie Johnson years, but they are still only #3 on my hate list ... michigan, U$C and then miami (aka the Convicts)! Regardless, damn I hope the Irish kicks #3's ass big time tomorrow! Go Irish!!! BTW, muck fichigan!

Yes, this is the team I've been dreaming of for years. This is a hard and physical football team that seeks to dominate and impose their will on teams. I enjoy watching other teams break.

I too found that amazing and I knew ND did a great job of scoring off of TO's. But the only stat that you can give Elko full credit for is the Total Takeaways. He gets half credit for +/- then all the rest goes to the offense.

I've had two friends this week try to stump me on ND turnover questions because they were shocked at how few Int's Wimbush has and how few lost fumbles the team has. The Offense from Kelly to Long to Denson to Alexander to Wimbush and the skill positions deserve a lot of credit. They aren't turning the ball over and when Elko's D gives them a turnover, they see red and finish. The 108 pts off of just 19 TO's blew me away too. I bet there are some very telling advanced stats that predict the winning percentage of a team that scores 10 points off of turnovers in a game... ND AVERAGES 10+ ppg off of turnovers. I wish I had the data parsed per game.

Those points are generated by the offense. We need to give props to Long and Co. The efficiency of offense has been amazing.

ETA- Crusader always faster than me. :)

No doubt, they definitely feed off of each other though. Long deserves a lot of credit as well. Isn’t this the highest scoring ND team in history? At least, to this point.

This is a lot of fun, to hate Miami like this again. I hated that team in its heyday, hated Jimmy Johnson and all of their players. I hope we curb stomp them tonight. In embarrassing fashion. By running the ball straight down their throats. I hope that turnover chain chokes someone.
