Boy sounds like a lot of people are going to have their hands full with the UA contract. I guess that’s what you get when it cost an arm and a leg for a sweatshirt.

I feel like that's the case for most companies nowadays.

While you're not wrong, I usually buy an item or two every fall when I visit in September/October for my annual pilgrimage, and despite how much more expensive it is compared to the former Adidas gear, this stuff is way higher quality and has lasted me wayyyyy longer. Even t-shirts.

So, I don't mind spending the extra dough when I can still wear the same UA T from 2017 without feeling like I'm wearing my older bro's hand-me-down.

Even though the Under Armor stuff is more expensive than the Adidas stuff, I still prefer it too. That said, they still carry some Champion stuff and I'll buy that to save a buck.

I'm a penny pincher though, it's what I do.

So if we receive news tomorrow that UA is dropping ND....who would folks prefer we go w/?
Me-Nike, with the understanding that ND would not be a flagship program. I doubt they would spend mega bucks ($100M+) w/ all the teams the already sponser (UM, Bama, Oregon ect) on such short notice
I am very hesitant to go back to Adidas, but I also get that it would be slim pickings.

I've bought a ton of every brand over the years. Champion has held up the best. I have 2 sweatshirts still that look almost perfect that are 10+ years old. Adidas wasn't bad at all though. I have several old Ts hanging around. I've already gone through a few UA shirts that didn't last. I do have a UA fleece quarter zip that is standing up pretty good.

Nike > UA > Adidas

But don't give me any Jumpman logo. I don't want what Michigan's got...

UA is by far the best quality but it comes with a price

Yep, but their shoes aren't great. They only have about 5% of the entire market there. Big fan of UA, especially how it looks on ND unis.

If UA folded tomorrow, I would want ND to go with whoever would get rid of the horrendous yellow mustard pants.

I agree, I think I have only seen one pair of shoes I liked by UA. Reebok has some really nice shoes now.

That's the correct pantone and the University worked with UA to get it just how they wanted it.

So what ur saying is: You want to go with who will talk ND out of using the correct color.

I can tell we've got some older golfers here. Other places on the web, younger ND fans hate UA and love Nike/Jumpman products but UA Golf is the best of the basketball shoe companies.

When I'm being selfish, I care about ND's deal in how the golf wear and t-shirt lines are for ME. UA all the way. If I'm going to pick a company on what's best for the program... it's Nike all the way.

I have one pair of UA shoes I bought on the cheap while in Naples. They are among the most comfortable shoes I own. I don't wear them all that much, so can't speak to durability. I did wear the hell out of them for two weeks in FL when I first bought them. Handled the washer well, and still look new.

We'd get some snickers from Michigan players if we went full Jumpman but my understanding is it IS a recruiting draw.

Jordan wanted ND to be the first Jumpman football school. They obviosuly. declined and took the money. This question is easy, Nike. Looks the best, plus the kids love it.

Adidas man here always loved the quality and graceful conservative stlye. I also would like the pants with a little more gold but if thats what the university wants so be it. Black shoes.

Yes. Bring back the 1988 design. ND should be blue and gold, not blue and mustard.

Mustard pants is tier 1.

I actually think the current uniform is very nearly the overall best its ever been. I wish we could go back to painted helmets for traditions sake, but I like the look of the new ones and there's no denying the original method had lost its sheen and become nearly beige in the 2000s, so I don't know how we could go back to those unless they fixed that process. But other than that, I'm thrilled with the current look:

Great helmet look, with occasional inconsistencies.
Great blue on jersey
Interlocking ND on shoulders instead of hideous TV numbers
Mustard pants

The only thing I would actually change is a move back to black cleats. With black cleats this current uniform would pretty much be perfect for me.

I agree with everything except the shoulder numbers. I really liked those. For me it gave the jerseys the old school Grid Iron feel.

I've said it before but I absolutely love white socks with the home unis instead of blue/black. Like we wore against BC last year

That makes sense b/c UA was an apparel company who added footwear to their offerings while ND & adidas are footwear companies who expanded into apparel.

Champion apparel for fans will likely always be available regardless of the fact that they won’t outfit team uniforms like they did in the past. So you should be fine in that regard. They’ve made a nice comeback and probably offer the best sweatshirt on the market IMO. They’re actually constructing them like they did back in the late 80s/early 90s w/ the tackle twill lettering. The cost has reflected as much but they’ll last forever.

To me, Nike has a better fit and look than UA or adidas when it comes to fan wear. I have no issue w/ ND team uniforms for any of their sports...they did a nice job. I particularly picky when it comes to headwear b/c I wear a 7 5/8 hat and both UA & adidas have flex fit hats that I can’t wear in XL b/c they’re still too tight. UA did offer an XL/XXL last season for hats but must didn’t repeat that offer this season.

I never owned a pair of UA shoes while I was still hooping and I run in NB's but for a pair of walking around shoes, these are as comfortable as I've ever owned... and everyone comments on them.

First off, agree on the Champion gear as long as it's the Reverse Weave sweatshirt/hoodies. Best quality clothing made. Someday, the only thing left on this planet will be cockroaches and Reverse Weave crewneck sweatshirts.

As far as hats... why would you buy anything but New Era fitted's??? I'm also a jughead and I can find endless supplies of 7 3/4's in any style/color I want.

I agree on the Champion sweatshirts. My wife still has a ND one from 1993 and it's in tremendous shape. It will definitely be worn coming out of the bunker. I love New Era hats but a size 7, the tops are too high. Titleist low profile visors work great. I'm sad ND's visor game blows and hoping New Era caps make a lower profile someday.

New Era is solid. If you haven't had a Black Clover hat on your head, try it. The most comfortable hat I know of and the variation in designs is crazy good.

The two I have are 96% polyester and 6% spandex.
