Bruins have about a dozen GREAT scoring chances... can't score. Blackhawks get a slap shot with two deflections for the game winner. That's hockey.

The shots on goal was pretty close between the teams and it wasn't like the Blackhawks didn't some good chances themselves they missed on.

Felt like childbirth (I've had big poops, I'm qualified to make that statement), but it was worth it.......

Stayed up all freaking night to see the Blackhawks win on two goals even a Blackhawks fan has to admit were suspect at best. But as Lax said that's hockey. Corey Crawford had a good night (as did Rask).

Chelsea Dagger is the worst song ever written.

And yes I am a sour Blues fan.

I think this was a great for the NHL as this is sure to get some attention outside the small hockey fan base as well as attention outside the Chicago and Boston TV markets.

Seriously, no one else heard Shaw say "f*ckin"during the interview with Pierre?

bahaha I heard it. Hilarious.

I love Shaw. So gritty, so much effort, he is just freaking everywhere this post-season. But there's plenty of skill there too. Great story.

Never mind SportsCenter is spending more time talking about the Tiger/Rory pairing and the chance of T-Storms occurring. I figured they be on it right away but its been 15 minutes since the last goal and they haven't gone to the highlights yet.

Edit: Now they are talking about Heat and Spurs still no mention of that hockey game by a person.

I got to be at work in 6 hours but I won't go to bed until I see highlights on Sports Center.

Edit: Finally a mention 21 minutes after the game.

Bollig was useless tonight. But Shaw and Boland playing together ... genius. They combined for two goals (so to speak; the second one was kind of an accident).

ESPN is a joke.

What a f'ing game! I'm all sweaty and have bitten most of my fingernails off. Hopefully this breaks Boston's spirit. So much more exciting than the NBA

Espn cares about sports they have contracts with. That's it.

I totally agree on the first part. I don't understand why Q would mess with what worked in the last couple games against LA, remembering to use the Hawks strengths instead of playing to their opponent's strengths. The Hawks are not a team that goes out and lights up the boards, checking guys left and right. They're a team that can hit, to be sure, but they need to play within their game. The Lucic goal shouldn't have happened if Hammer goes for the puck and not the goal. If the Hawks focus on maximizing their own strengths, they should play much better on defense especially.

Quenneville needs to stop psyching himself out with line changes, and get over whatever his deal is with Stalberg; even if the guy isn't consistent he's dynamic and fast, something that can only help the Hawks in the offensive zone.

I don't understand the power play. Jamie Kompon, hired away from LA, has absolutely murdered that unit. They can't get into the offensive zone when the other team stacks the blue line, and they pass the puck around without any clear direction or strategy. How can you have a 5-3 WITH NO SHOTS ON GOAL?!

That said, I'm proud of the way the guys played. Shaw has become one of my favorite players with his willingness to do almost anything and his sneaky offensive ability. My hope is that Bolland finally had his breakout game, as he could go a long way to helping get 19 back on track .

The PP is pathetic. I would put Frolic and Kruger on the ice. At least they shoot the puck.

Agree. A lot of teams would be demoralized after that game, but the B's bread and butter is having a short memory, and punching back in next game.

Every game will be a flip of the coin regardless of venue. Boston will have a closers mentality by having a short memory.

I really don't think you blow a 2 goal lead with 14 minutes left in the third period and then hit post in OT and then lose in the third OT... and have a short memory. It will be interesting to say the least. If Thornton doesn't come back, it might be trouble for the Bruins.

If there was ever a good situation to have an extra day between games this was it. Both teams have to be glad the game is indeed Saturday and not Friday.

I thought last night "what if game one of the Kings series was like that?" Since 1&2 were back to back. That would have been insane.
