No, this thread is not a metaphor for liberals vs. conservatives. Also, please don't quote this OP when responding as there are quite a few pictures.

Declare your allegiance:

I'm NY all the way. Chicago style is not pizza, it's cake. Can't eat a slice without a knife and fork. Get that weak sauce out of here.

Oh snap, how do I do that?

Not sure once you start a thread. If you go to edit your original post, do you see a spot for "add poll"?

If not... maybe a kind mod could lend us a Christmas miracle?

Yeah I think I had to do it in the beginning. I PM'ed GITF about it.

I prefer Chicago, but I think NY is more of a "pizza". Chicago style is completely different. But as a dish I'd rather eat Chicago style 9/10 times.

I should add though that NY style to me is just normal pizza that I've had a million times. Some of it sucks, some of it is great. Good Chicago is incredibly hard to find where I live, but when I get it it's a rare treat.

Lies. I have never had pizza of any kind that sucked.

Chicago style is a doughy pile of undercooked blah... but it's still deliscious...

New York style. While we're on this topic can someone tell me why the rest of the country has crap for bagels? Still trying to figure this one out.

PS. Anyone here that eats real NY style not fold their pizza? People in the MW look at me weird for it.

This is exactly how I feel. Pizza is delicious, but it is a snack. "Chicago style pizza" is really tomato pie ... but it is a DELICIOUS MEAL.

My roomate for many years in CO was from NYC. Everytime he went home he would bring back a huge cooler filled with bagels.

Crazy how much better they are then anywhere else in the country.

This thread is so divisive. Why must we be always trying to find ways to divide each other and put each other into groups?

FROM THE CNN NEWSWIRE!!!

In a recent interview with GQ, Wooly was answered the contraversial question of "NY Style vs Chicago Style" with:

It seems like, to me, a NY Style—as a man—would be more desirable than a Chicago Style. That's just me. I'm just thinking: There's more there! She’s got more to offer. I mean, come on, dudes! You know what I'm saying? But hey, sin: It's not logical, my man. It's just not logical."

IE has no comment and will issue a public statement shortly...

Chicago thin crust. It's the style my favorite pizzaria, Sammys Pizza in Hibbing Minnesota. It's cut into squares and it's delicious.

Yeah I agree with this. Papa Johns, dominos, and Pizza Hut fall under the NY style. It's what I think of when I think of pizza. Chicago style pizza is almost like a different food altogether. It's a sit down and a restaurant and eat with a fork and knife kinda pizza. And it's delicious...but most pizza is good anyway. So, I eat way more "NY style" pizza but if given the choice I'd rather sit down and eat a Chicago style.

See... I don't agree. Pizza Hut for instance has thin crust, pan, etc.

NY style is distinctively large, thin slices with light sauce. It's a distinct style that is different than any of the big box pizza places.

Don't force your liberal opinions on me.

You can do so much more with Chi Style... I prefer it to NY any day... I agree with Grey, NY is basic pizza... and there is nothing wrong with that... but Chi Style is whole other level in terms of straight food.

Big Chi Style guy here.
