Hey gang, visiting Chitown with the GF for a few days. Does anyone have any specific pizza recommendations? I have limited experience with deep dish and want to try "the best" the style has to offer.

No debates, just suggestions!

The house citrus blend Carne Asada from Stater Bros. Miss it already. Best $4.99 (when on sale) ready to eat meat I've ever had.

If you're ever in Phoenix metro get your sissy on at:

Pomo | Forno Fabbri

The boys are off the boat from Naples. It ain't the pizza I grew up on the southside but it's fantastic in it's own way.

Downtown, at the W I think.

You have Lou Malnati's and Gino's East close by if you want deep dish. Giordano's if you want stuffed. Can't go wrong with any of those. Pizano's on Madison was started by Lou Malnati's brother.

My choice is that Chicago thin crust > deep dish, and I'd be at Aurelio's at Michigan and Roosevelt.

Ozzman has it covered. Pequods is really good but it's a little north of where you're staying. Parlor is close by and they have a good beer selection. Great scenery too

All that pie talk yesterday got to me so I went and scored a Spinato's last night. Spinato's was started by Aurelio's here in AZ during the 70's. Oh that southside sweet sauce! Thank goodness for whoever thought to add grape jelly to pizza sauce. Genius! Saved 4 squares for breakfast. Bon appetit!

The key my friend? Pre-heat your oven to 400 with a pizza stone in it. Then put the pizza on the heated stone and warm it up. Crust comes out with that needed crisp.

Went to Rosati's Sports Pub in Scottsdale yesterday for the Bears game. Had a nice tin crust. Good day until the last Colts TD.

how was it?

Went to Lou Malnati's and got the Chicago Classic.

It's really good. I don't think I really consider it "pizza" in the traditional sense of the word but still real tasty. It's more of a cross between pizza and lasagna.
