Difference is Denbrock's offense did it against the best competition last year.

In the loss to Bama, LSU still put up 475 yards. Their lowest output in terms of points was against FSU Week 1, and they still put up 460 against a very good defense.

LSU's offense was incredible last year. I can't believe people would actually have a problem with Denbrock, LOL.
Qualify your reasoning away, man.

Hard pass on 2016 coaches.

As I said in the other thread, he wouldn't be my number #1, maybe partly because I haven't given much thought to who would be. But, I'd be very excited about him developing next years offense.

People also tend to forget that he was very good with WR development during his time at ND. He's just an all around very good coach.
Tight ends, too. Tyler Eifert blew up in 2010-11 when he was TE coach. He also helped to develop Anthony Fasano when he was here under Willingham.

ISD is saying Freeman's first call will/should be to Denbrock.

Didn't he just sign a big extension at LSU?
Why b/c he had a once-in-a-generation QB who just won the Heisman? Not saying he’d be bad. Also not sure why he’d leave LSU for a lateral position?

I know Denbrock keeps getting mentioned, but what are the odds MF can pull BK's OC and a groomsman at his wedding??

It has to be essentially zero unless there is some sort of unrest behind the scenes at LSU.

FWIW, Sampson indicated that Freeman has a person in mind and it's an external candidate. I'm betting he's going to throw everything he can at Hartline.

Not sure why we would want Hartline, other than pull some recruits what has he done?

Agreed, I'd guarantee it's Hartline...

Is Hartline a fit, though? They just brought Mike Brown in, they don't need a WR coach. And there's no reason to believe Hartline was calling plays.

I'd give Kevin Wilson a call, may not be a great HC but his offenses speak for themselves.

He'd never clear the vetting process at ND.

But I do agree he is a great OC, and I think he was the true brains behind OSU's most recent, dominant passing offenses.
Yep, Oklahoma too. That Sam Bradford '08 offense was crazy good.
