Mike Denbrock isn't even the QB coach so why does he get credit for Daniels development?

Also the need for our OC to be a TE coach is near zero. Just because our current did/does and there isn't a designated TE coach doesn't make it a need.

They can be coached by both the WR and OL coaches and be just fine.

I would be very happy with Denbrock. Have no idea why he would even entertain it though.

Call me crazy, but might have something to do with running the offense that the Heisman winning QB played in.

Yeah I agree, I highly doubt he would even entertain it unless he knows his offense is in bad shape for next season

FWIW there is a source on here that said awhile ago that Hartline got rug pulled by Day and is looking to make the right move where he would have play calling responsibilities. And he is tight with Freeman. Sooooo.....

Didn't he call the plays that made Daniels a Heisman winner? Only the qb coach gets credit?

I'd be fine with Denbrock. He steps right in as TE coach too.

If not him, I want a veteran OC. We need to cycle out of first timers at that role for a bit since MF is a defensive coach.

Denbrock has spent 11 years of his career at ND. LSU is essentially his only job outside of the midwest, outside of a brief stint at UW. Have to think a move where we handed him the keys the O + a blank canvas would be attractive. BK's offense will always be BK's offense.
