With that Staples shoe deal idea, I wonder if it would make it more likely ND chooses to stay with Under Armour or goes with someone like Lululemon (which he mentioned in the article) over Adidas or Nike because the former companies are apparel first and would likely see more value in a deal than the latter which are primarily shoe companies, so they might see more value in the shoe component and less in the apparel component.
Sucks for Swarbrick’s kid who is like their director of college sports.Staples also said that UA is looking to get out of college sports.
I would pay many dollars for Carhart bibs with a ND logo on itThis. Their t-shirts are fat-guy friendly. Yugely important. Heavy weight material, but not overly baggy. Love that shit.
That seemed like more of a throwaway line that shouldn't really be taken as UA will not sign any more college deals, especially since it seems like they at least tried to get us to resign during the negotiating window.Staples also said that UA is looking to get out of college sports.
How about Dan Flashes?
Wow the pattern on those pants is so complicated. They must have cost thousands. They already did a collab in 2015:View attachment 3053516
You’re probably right. Maybe we just stick with something more meat and potatoes and go with TC Tuggers. This is a Catholic University, the bookstore would turn too violent
Not sure if you're joking, but I LOVE their golf polos.Puma time
Maybe if you learned to 2 putt you could cut back to ~30 pairsNot sure if I should admit this, but I have over forty pairs of New Balance trail running shoes.
Lightweight, aggressive tread, comfy, really cool colors!
I walk 4-6 round of golf a week and go through shoes like a hot knife through butter.
I disagree—specifically when it comes to Lululemon. ND has apparel deals with outfits like Antigua and Colosseum. There’s nothing stopping them from partnering with Lulu or Champion. They won’t be a primary outfitter for shoes or uniforms, but they absolutely could get the license for merch. It has to be Nike or Adiddas. People have to really to outfit ND is a huge task and very expensive. Notre Dame has a ton of athletic teams and this deal is for the entire athletic program so they would need to be able to outfit all of them. Sorry to the lululemon or new balance people but it ain’t happening
Outfitting athletic teams, and creating merch you sell in the bookstore, are two pretty different things though, aren't they?I disagree—specifically when it comes to Lululemon. This is true, but the primary deal would have to be finalized first so they would know what they could and couldn't produce.I disagree—specifically when it comes to Lululemon.
