I get it's THE JORDAN BRAND so they don't want to mess up one of the most recognizable symbols in all of sports apparel... but I don't understand why Jordan hasn't allowed the football half of the brand to do a different version of the Jumpman logo. It would be so easy to do a silhouette of a receiver making an OBJ-style catch, and have it still look extremely similar to the Jumpman, allowing them to retain brand integrity while still differentiating the football side.

ND should throw their weight around and make it happen... or get with Adidas (or Puma in a fantasy world) and do their own branding with a similar logo. Would be dope, imo
The Jumpman logo gets him paid on it. That's really all that matters, so why mess with it?

The ND brand would be either the Dome or a Shamrock I'd assume? In terms of logo.

Puma Basketball shoes might mean another head coaching search because Micah seems like a lucid enough guy to see what they offer and NOT want it on his kids' feet. I wouldn't want to stare at that on a daily basis.

Football jerseys look like golf polos. Pants get a nice shade of khaki. Cleats like golf shoes. It all fits so perfectly for a 3:30pm tee time at ND Stadium on Saturdays...

Matt Freeman says its most likely the Jordan Brand would not want to represent ND football, girls basketball if anything. MJ himself wanted ND to be the face of the brand for football and they obviously turned it down the first time. Jordan Brand likely to move on to Georgia or Clemson.

All jokes aside, Puma generates more revenue than Under Armor. Assume that has to do with soccer but it was surprising to see UA so low on the list, and Adidas in the top 5 world wide. Not sure on legitimacy of list, and I see it doesn't call out Jordan separately from Nike.

I would imagine our Shamrock series would be an attraction to whomever we go with.

UA makes the best fan apparel, adidas apparel was always cheap and didn't last long. So either UA or Nike.... not jordan

Best two pairs of gym shoes I've owned (comfort, reliability) were Puma, but I can't speak to their actual "athletic" lines.

I used to be a loyal Air Max guy until I found a pair of Puma's that were on sale and looked sharp. So comfy and durable.

Honestly, that would kind of be the dream. Jordan gets basketball (or would it be more of basketball getting Jordan?) while football uses Nike. We don't have to use the Jumpman on a football jersey, but our athletes could get Jordan brand stuff.

Girls basketball they'd want if anything. Ivey is a popular commodity.

Only school that has mixed Jordan/Nike is Oregon because of Phil Knight.

Optically what I've seen online leaves a lot to be desired, but if they provide the comfort, color and design are easily addressed and fixable.

I own three pair of Pumas but none are hoops shoes.

Just throw some spikes on these bad boys and get to work 😤

Dads all over the world have been cutting grass in those without fail for 15+ years now. We know they have a proven record of elite performance through rigorous field testing. The memes flow in, but the brand remains.

You want your athletes to have safe, reliable footwear in the stadium? Embrace the NB 608's.

Say what you want. Having Nike or Jordan matters to the kids. It matters to the players. It matters to the recruits

This is a very important decision.

New balance sure as hell isn't moving the needle. If you're okay with or vouching for them, see yourself out.
Adidas is in trouble without Yeezy.
Puma is whatever, Unless they're giving a couple 100 million, no point.

Gotta be Nike.

This is my preferred route. Nike for everything except basketball, which would be Jordan.

UA was wining and dining Freeman and his wife last week.

It's just gonna be a re-upped UA deal with friendlier terms and more stock promises lol

Yeah super weird timing. Freeman has said UA has made multiple offers.

I’d like to see ND co-brand with one of the big producers (Nike, UA, Adidas) and form their own branding/logo with a portion of the sales earmarked for NIL. ND could come up with a marketing angle using, as a quick example, Shamrock Sports by Nike. This would certainly set ND apart from just having another apparel/equipment sponsor.

Create our own stuff through custom ink and order our jerseys through a SB sporting good store.
