I am a big UA guy (never had UA shoes) but everything else is fantastic. I use it for hockey, working out, Golf, casual ect

I even use an UA Storm down jacket as my HEAVY WEIGHT cold weather jacket for climbing/cold weather hiking. I could go on and on.

Their apparel is top notch and holds up great when compared to other brands I have used. That being said, I know next to nothing about their footwear.
Makes since b/c they are an apparel company that branched off into shoes whereas Nike & adidas began as a shoe company that branched out into apparel.

I’d love to see them go w/ Nike but for some reason, I can’t ever see that happening. I do recall ND wore Nike cleats under Faust.

Under Holtz they started out in adidas cleats, then Reebok w/ Champion apparel & then back to adidas under Davie. I liked the change to UA initially but soured on it after a few years as the style got bland despite the cost going up. Their hats are crap as least for me. I wear around a 7 5/8 so none of their hats really fit me.

That isn't a handout deal. That's ND's shortsighted attempt to squeeze a few extra bucks out of a fanbase that has shown they are willing to pay.

Like I said, ND isn't going to renew with UA just because Jack's kid works there. If they do, it'll be because they feel they can get the most bang for their collective buck, which I find extremely unlikely given how poor UA has done on Wall Street over the past few years.

Not to mention, UA is simply not desirable for the players and that also plays into the decision. Ultimately, if the coaches want to move on, that is a heavy factor weighing against UA.

All in all, there's very little working in UA's favor to re-up. Jack's kid working there only goes so far to outweigh the mounting negatives of the company. If it were to happen, UA would have to offer a VERY generous deal that blows the other proposals out of the water.
Jack and his nepo babies thank you for you naivete.

Okay pal. Sure.

You're naive if you think ND is making a decision based on Jack's nepotism.

They don't care. It's all about what is the most financially flexible and beneficial.

Since signing the deal, UA has become less marketable and provided ND with less financial flexibility and benefits due to the stock tanking nearly 300% over the past 3 1/2 years.

You really think ND is going to re-up with a company that's hemorrhaging all because Jack wants to throw a bone to his kid? Unless UA makes an absolutely absurd offer to make ND the brand, it's probably not happening. ND gains a lot more by moving on and going with a different brand.

Jack isn't the only one involved in this decision.

If we don't go with Puma, I swear to God.

Sleek, vigilant Puma. Principal of the mountains.

As far as stock prices go, Nike is the only one that isn’t a disaster. Champion is part of Hanesbrands. It’s been almost as bad as Under Armour. Adidas hitched up with Kanye West. Big mistake there.
I believe ND took a big chunk of their compensation for signing with Under Armour in UA stock. Another big mistake.

ND should just hook up with some sweat shops in China and create their own stuff.

Jordan Brand - unless UA releases the Coaches Closet. There are too many shirts I need from that.

I soured on adidas when they went to “vegan” leather for their kicks. It’s genuine leather or nothing. Vegan leather = plastic.

There’s a good amount of Champion apparel in the bookstore. I am in the minority of liking UA but am partial to Champion fit. Still quality stuff.

The answer is Nike with the added requirement that every blue chip recruit's family gets a job with a giant salary.

Couple things:

1) Cant tell if people are being serious.. But Reebok is barely even a thing anymore. Definitely don't make football cleats anymore, @BeauBenken.

2) People saying Nike, but not Jordan. You old heads realize its the exact same stuff right? Just a different logo...

3) It'll be UA again. Been mentioned numerous times but ND wont due business with Nike due to the working conditions in China (reportedly)

4) Being a Jordan school would no question help in recruiting and bring some more life to the program. It's sad, but these kids love it and want to wear it. They hate UA and rarely wear Adidas.

4) Stop with the Champion shit.

It’s time to prove how out of touch the school is and become a Hoka School

My wife has a pair (she loves them). However she now refuses to put them on anywhere near me for fear of my comments.

"Hey babe, going snow shoeing"?

"Hey honey, looks pretty wet out there, thank God you have your personal flotation device"

"Me casually humming clown music"

"Honey, working on your calf strength?"

"BABE, COME LOOK... I THINK BIG FOOT WALKED THROUGH OUR YARD"

It's pretty safe to say she is over it at this point. Or she's over me, IDK?
