My favorite Driskell moment — and Mascona can largely be insufferable, but his content, for the most part, is usually pretty good. I’m not implying everything he says here is spot on, just that I love someone — anyone — calling Driskell out to the carpet. I really wanted the two to jump on a show together to discuss Kelly leaving ND.

Well, they don't really play anyone aside from OSU and to a slightly lesser extent PSU. It's easy to go 12-0 when you only have to get up for 1-2 games.

It's especially stupid because he has OSU's ceiling at 12-0. So OSU could go 12-0 in his mind, but Michigan's floor is still beating them. The whole thing is nonsensical and is obvious rage bait for clicks.

An easy schedule, unproven wide receivers and coaches. 8 of the teams on this year's schedule had 8+ wins last year and we face 3 in the top 10. To reach the finals, Notre Dame has to beat at least two of the big three and not lose to 5 other good teams. They also have to beat whoever they might face in the semis.
But I understand your question. This is the most optimistic I've been in years, despite the most difficult schedule in years. Nevertheless, because of the schedule, I think ND loses 2 regular seasons games and hopefully goes to a NY6 bowl and wins it.

Driskell could have Urban Meyer on his podcast and when guys like Salty Peanuts and Tommy Gumz send in Super Chat questions for the “Coach” to answer…. they would expect Mr Mountain Dew to answer….
I mean if ND stays healthy I could see it Bama isn’t gonna have anyone at QB and Georgia is gonna have a new QB. I think Texas personally beats Bama

I think I should probably end my sub to 247. Not because I don't like the Tims or Loy. But it seems I get their info from free sources very quickly after they drop it.
I like the musings and the wrapups, but I could live without them because it's already stuff I've heard from their free pods.
The Atlantic seems to have a lot of good long form writing I never get to read. I really dig Sampson and his whole thing.
Is it worth it?

You can view The Athletic for free by putting article URLs into archive.ph. That’s what I do if there’s something I find interesting. The quantity of content seems to be lacking of late

The Athletic is occasionally worth it - at least for the little money I spend on it. But I *definitely* wouldn’t get a sub just for Pete Sampson’s work. It’s inoffensive, but he doesn’t put out nearly enough content and he isn’t rolling up his sleeves and providing some great insight.
