Gotcha. Seems like people just get annoyed at Mike’s style and personality. Never hear much specific regarding things he says but if you don’t like the person it’s no fun listening.

I personally have no problem with Mike and really like Jamie. Thought the points they brought up about Rees were interesting. Sounds like it might be best for everyone that he left. We’ll see.

I thought it was a bit of revisionist history by Mike saying that Freeman never should have been put in that situation. I don't remember him raising may objections last year as Rees and Freeman were both getting hired.

Agree. This happens all the time with guys on the beat. More comes out after someone leaves.

Yeah, I noticed this too. Guys at ISD, II, and The Athletic get paid to provide premium content and they can’t provide that. Very glad I didn’t resubscribe last month.

Makes me wonder what they did to piss ND off.

“I believe the focus (as of last night) was more on NFL quarterbacks coaches. As much as Gerad Parker's name keeps coming up on message boards, when I talked to people involved he's either not mentioned or mentioned with "I don't think that's the plan."


I mean was Sampson literally just lying here? He can’t really be that far on the outside

Then we had Prister say he doesn’t think Rees changes things for Hiestand.

I think they're that far out of the loop. Did you see the potential OC list Sampson put out when Rees left. Laughably bad - he had no clue. He said as much later.

Listen to the latest II pod and then think about who is [prob] being hired. They have 0 sources on this. Didn't know it got this bad for them.




Also, can't wait for that shitass Loy to tout how he had it 1st after that article yesterday.

I canceled literally all my subscriptions after the Parker news. I was already going to cut some of them, but this whole OC run showed how no one knows jack shit without Rees as a source.

Perhaps Pete assumed - like many of us - that the OC search wouldn’t (couldn’t) possibly take such a pathetic turn as it has.
He’s a rational fellow and it defies rationality, what we’re doing here.

I don't see any value in paying for the services these people provide. I subscribe to The Athletic, but not specifically for Pete Sampson.

Being able to read other team sites and boards is keeping me at 247 for the moment but theyre on thin ice for sure if they don't figure out a way to reliably obtain info soon.
