I know they updated them not to long ago, but does anyone else think they may need to start planning another upgrade sometime soon to keep up with the other big boys in the NCAA?

Nice little nugget about a plan for upgrades to the Gug is underway.
There's no reason why we can't Notre Dame has more money coming in then just about anyoneIf we get a LSU / UGA / Bama / Oregon level facility i'll be fucking shocked.
Their really should be no reason why we shouldn’t be setting the bar."We're also told there is a common goal of not competing with college football facilities across the country, but to set the bar."
Please Lord, be true

I know people like to shit on Polian, but I really appreciated that he was willing to go on the record and talk about the facilities without it being just an LSU plug. Acknowledged that for most kids it wasn't a deciding factor but it is a factor and ND is behind. That sort of stuff moves the needle.
I tend to agree. I thought he came off measured and factual in that article. I just thought the timing of his interview and then the info that “there’s a plan in the works” was hilarious.I know people like to shit on Polian, but I really appreciated that he was willing to go on the record and talk about the facilities without it being just an LSU plug. I've said similar things over the years. I wouldn't go so far as to say football is the only reason you're who you are, but for most of the country, football is what made them aware of you. If it wasn't for football, ND wouldn't have 1/10th the fame and name recognition it does. It just blows my mind that the powers that be won't build on that and support it completely, and instead seem embarrassed by it. It's not like doing so would diminish your academic rep. It wouldn't impact it negatively at all. It didn't back in the 60's or 70's. It wouldn't now. I just don't get why the admin treats football like an afterthought.Football is the sole reason that the school is a premier academic institution and not the Dayton of northern Indiana. It shouldn’t be as hard as it is to allocate resources accordingly.

They've lined their pockets with mediocre facilities and an average team for the last three decades. Why stop now?I've said similar things over the years. I felt the same way when I heard Prister talk about his interview. He’s coached at 2 of the more rigorous academic p5 programs in the country & then at one of the elite football factories. That’s more perspective than any of us have.I know people like to shit on Polian, but I really appreciated that he was willing to go on the record and talk about the facilities without it being just an LSU plug. “Oh, absolutely,” said Swarbrick, when asked if he agreed that “The Gug” is past the point of necessary renovation. “It’s a priority.
“I am committed to getting the operations building up to the standard of some of the best in the country. We have a plan. The university is about to start its new initiative and it will be part of that. It’s all about raising the money now.”
Disagree. I look a lot of stuff up online. I have the knowledgeI felt the same way when I heard Prister talk about his interview. He’s coached at 2 of the more rigorous academic p5 programs in the country & then at one of the elite football factories. That’s more perspective than any of us have.
Does UNLV have better facilities than ND?
