You obviously have never been on NDN after a game. They nuke, flush, purge the board frequently as it gets so foul. Here they nuke a post, a poster that persists, and occasionally a thread. There's no need to nuke the entire board here as the vast majority of posters here behave.

Shhhhhh..... Don't say that too loudly. The last thing we need is for them to bring their reindeer games here because our mods know what they're actually doing.

what started my post was about Poot when someone defended him saying they were his roommate at Notre Dame..My point is similar..I did not go to Notre Dame but I am an attorney that used to work in South Bend so I "in real life" know a couple of them that post at NDNation and UHND..In the ways they are negative or often objectively wrong its born not out of ignorance about notre dame or its program but out of not enough understanding of the rest of college football. So they end up with very myopic views of everything or in bad times the "Chicken Little Effect"..It is that view that materialized into the why do we play Tulsa or Western Michigan ..instead of understanding that Tulsa or Western Michigan at least is not FCS

"I am an attorney ..." And you followed ND. Really?

The "sentence" structure and improper/lack of punctuation in your posts as well as your fullback and 4-3 comments in the Miles thread read more like a UM background in kinesiology than law. Most lawyers I know have a good command of the written word. They have to. But, I suppose there are exceptions in every profession.

Most sports fan with even a casual interest in ND football know Kelly doesn't use a fullback. Those that were at FB when Kelly arrived moved on to other positions or other places. Likewise even the myopic Chicken Littles know ND runs a 3-4 on paper but mostly 4-3 base with a nickel this season considering the types of offenses faced and the injuries to defensive personnel in the Front 7.

Several competent posters have taken the time to respond to your babbling. I apologize that none of them were gracious enough to respond directly to your question. I'll try to help:

To unregister, you can send a Private Message, PM, to the Administrator, Jason Pham, who will drop a poster on request. You can simply stop posting but that would lack the drama, wouldn't it?

Seriously... do the posters on NDNation even like Notre Dame? Their negativity and constant cry-baby attitude is absurd. During USC week, there were more threads about Jumbotrons and Field Turf (they don't want either) than the upcoming game. Every damn post on the site is whining about something. They think Kelly is a shanty-mick, they hate anything new that ND tries to do to stay modern, they simply hate everything about this team. So this thread is dedicated to share idiotic posts from that site. Here we go.

"He keeps says he's having trouble getting the lads to play like he wants them to, but sooner or later they will. And I keep thinking, "That's what we're afraid of, coach. That's what we're all afraid of."

"I fear that not only does Kelly's coaching philosophy not fit here at ND, he, himself, was not and likely won't ever be ready to handle the limelight and the pressures and problems it can create if you don't know how to speak, act, handle yourself under the glare."

"A shanty divided against itself cannot stand"

"The problem is that this mutiny will tank this season, and recruiting, and then Kelly will get one more year, because Swarbrick is not a man of bold moves. Then in 2012, a dispirited team and desperate coach will get *** pounded. New coach in 2013."

"The truth is this - ND football died some time ago, and it is the direct result of poor management. I'm not sure if it flatlined against Syracuse in 2008, or against USC in 2002, against MSU in 2005, against Navy in 2010, or against Vanderbilt in 1995, but it sure as **** is dead now."

With fans like these, who needs enemies....

Part of the reason why I love being a ND fan is because when I come across fellow fans, be them alums or just born and bred lifers, I feel like I can have an intelligent conversation that has some perspective on college football as a whole. The posters on NDNation completely ruin that entire belief and make me understand why fans of other schools hate ND and it's fan base so much. It's because they have to work with/for and be neighbors with those guys haha.

I'm confused by this post. I was the one that identified "Poot" as a former roommate at ND. My question is, how did I defend him and from what was I defending him? He runs a blog previously mentioned in this thread that mocks NDNation and the ridiculous nature of their posts. I'd say most at IE agree with him since the general consensus here is that NDNation is full of delusion and nonsense and as a result, have lost touch with reality leading to the creation of this thread.

Maybe he has better things to do than sound really really smart on a web forum so punctuation/grammar aren't of the essence. Just saying.

You're telling me that you don't carefully craft each post that you make on IE? Well, sir, maybe you should send Jason a PM requesting to be unregistered (or simply just log out). We don't need your grammatical errors and reckless disregard for punctuation on this respectable site for Notre Dame football fans!

I'm glad you brought this up. A couple of days ago, an Alabama fan made a claim to me that their fanbase is more intelligent than ND's.

Better things to do with is time? You mean like write 20 posts upon registering (I had to merge several of them as he would type his thoughts on a post, then type the next thing that popped into his head on a separate post right underneath his older post), or cry that people were being mean to him when he couldn't be further from the truth, or threaten to unregister? Something tells me he didn't have too many better things to do with his time.

And before you say we're being mean to the newbie, save it. Everyone here is new at one point, and they are welcomed. INLaw was fine, until he wrote a confusing post (which he admitted was confusing), someone asked him what he meant, and he took it completely the wrong way and threatened to leave. That was on him...

Bob Diaco was just nominated for the Broyles Award, which goes to the top assistant coach in college football. At NDNation, not only is that news followed by snide posts about every failure (or perceived one) Diaco has had at ND in his short career, but there's a thread about hiring new coordinators that starts with "First, the bad news. I don't think Diaco is going anywhere."

Hating is one thing. Delusional hating is a different kind of pathology.

Speaking of NDNation. It seems to be worse than 3 Mile Island there at the moment. I'm very proud at how IE is holding up tonight.

Just remember, we're all unique, just like everyone else.

That said, ndnation is the underbelly of the earth. Their only worthwhile existence is to either share new memorial day recipes or argue about which song was was the most "neat-o" at half time...otherwise, their contribution to man-kind would on a whole be considered an epic fail.

Why is it foregone that Kelly gets another year?

Board sentiment at this point is rather conclusive that Kelly is not the guy. If Urban Meyer is indeed serious about returning to coaching (and all indications seem to verify that) what is stopping us from making a run at him?

A coach of that caliber and credential does not come around that often. Potential PR firestorm be damned, if Urban Meyer is available - Jack should be doing everything in his power to get him.

Sadly, I think this is all a pipe dream.

These people are ****ing nuts! They have multiple wish lists of head coaches they want to replace Kelly.. Wow

Sadly ndnation is a website, not a physical place, so I don't think a nuclear meltdown will make it go away for 500 years. One can dream though.

Jack Swarbrick, What do you communicate to Kelly about your 2012 expectations? And how have those expectations changed, if at all, compared to the third year expectations that were communicated to him when he was hired?

Are 2012 expectations absolute, or are they now re-calibrated to measure marginal improvement from a disappointing 2011?

And why haven't we heard from this ****er yet?

I'm sick of Swarbrick's silence. I want to hear from that cowering bureaucrat NOW, not in April at the Rockne Dinner, where I have to pay to hear his words of wisdom.

I'm done paying to hear him speak. Part of my contributions go to pay the exorbitant salary that he has utterly failed to earn since he was hired in July of 2008.

Yo Jack, maybe no one told you, but communicating to the 'little people' that support ND football isn't optional; it's part of your ****ing JOB.

Give us your evaluation of the football program. Tell us your expectations for the future. Tell us what the plan is to meet those expectations.

Get out from under your desk.

I don't even know where to begin on commenting on this.
