Could be from the chicken!!!!

Only thing about practicing at Father Ryan is the field is artificial turf and LP is grass and only two days removed from Titans and Indy. Compile that with the weather we have had here, the field will play slow....could be to the Irish's advantage - maybe.

Go Irish!

Huh??? I think that plays 100% into LSU's game plan.

They are going to run the ball 50 times and impose their will.

My Dad is an LSU fan....watched almost every game with him. LSU is based on speed, especially Fournette, Jennings and Magee being quick/fast. Without footing, they are not as fast...hence the reason I posted what I did - just the way I see it.

Plus, I know how bad LP can get during this time of year..

The field was just chewed up by an NFL game on Sunday too, right?

Yep...didn't go to that one because of the weather and $hitty Titans year. Watched it on TV and many times did the backs come out of the backfield hitting a knee or trying to get good footing....started a little later in the game as the field started to deteriorate.

LSU loves the I-formation and jams it up the middle and runs the sweep a lot too. Primarily up the middle so, if the Irish can close the middle, could give the Irish a good chance.

I have only watched 1 or 2 LSU games this year, but aren't they typically a team that runs a lot of Power and Zone?

A bigger O-line usually has an advantage on a bad track and can get a better push up front.

The field will affect us, but not them. Haven't you guys watched Notre Dame football this season?

LSU has monsters for guards....can't remember their names but, they are book-ends at 6'6" and 350ish..... My Dad is always saying, 'Look at those giants'....

They do run the Power I a lot. But, I still see BVG adjusting enough to get the run limited. He knows this system front and backwards. And one thing I do know from watching LSU the past years with Miles.....he hates when his running game is mediocre and will start trying trick plays....

either way, Irish do not have a running game either so I don't see the field hurting them as much as a running team as LSU. Like I said earlier, just my thoughts..

Will still be at the field rooting the Irish on!

Totally shocked Malik gets the start. That's what I was hoping for, but I know it doesn't guarantee anything. With Malik starting, I don't just automatically assume the QB position will turn the ball over a minimum of 3 times during the game. And the zone read might actually be, you know, a useful play.

Be interesting to see how Zaire fares. It definitely won't be a passive SCum defense that is running a base alignment b/c they're ahead by four TDs. Good luck Malik....you're getting your chance. What better team to prove yourself against than the #1 D in the SEC.

LSU #1 D in SEC? I would have thought Bama or Ole Miss. Or maybe even Arkansas. Didnt know that.

I'll be happy if ND comes out fired up, playing loose and fast. If we win, great, if not, I'll be happy that the team showed up with some fire in their bellies. That said, my ideal scenario is probably something along the lines of the OU/Clemson game today; one team played like they wanted to be there, and the other didn't. I hope ND wants to be there.

I believe it. I just would not have thought it would be LSU. Can't be by #1 by much.

Didnt Wisconsin move the ball pretty good on them for a minute or two? Meh, I don't care, they are always pretty good on D.

In terms of PPG allowed the best in the nation was Ole Miss. If you're going off of yds allowed per game it'd be LSU.

Let's drop the bullsh^t....Does anyone of us think we win this game?

If we get back these guys for sure Tomorrow, I feel much better about the game.

Eilar Hardy
Sheldon Day
Jay Hayes
Cody Riggs
Max Redfield

If anything, it will add a little more depth to the D which they will need. LSU is deep for sure.

As to your question... it could happen. Watching the OU/Clemson game, anything can happen. The Irish have the tools and weapons. Play a clean game and stick to assignments and there could be a victory for the Irish.

Likely, no.... possible, yes.
If our D looks like our first half of the season D,,,, we stand a punchers chance.
We need to run run run, and we need to defend their run. If we come out throwing, we are playing to their strength. If they can run at will, we are doomed. If they somehow are successful passing, we are really screwed.

Rank ND LSU
Total O 48 89
Passing Yrds 16 116
Rush Yrds 84 29
PPG 39 73

Total D 69 8

Having been a former SEC player who's played against LSU before, Riggs return should help, especially from what he sees on the field.

Zaire and Gholson

Zaire and Gholson

Zaire and Gholson are both playing? Oh so its going to look like a combo of Carlyle Holiday and Jarious Jackson at QB today.
