Another nepo baby coming in. I can’t find a recruiting profile of his on 247 or Rivals, so I’m sure this will go well.
#berryNeat ??Neat
To be fair the Crossroads League is the best and deepest conference in NAIA hoops. So we likely stole a recruit from Grace or Bethel?
Agreed. Crossroads has quite a few teams that would be the top team in most other conferences in the NAIA.To be fair the Crossroads League is the best and deepest conference in NAIA hoops.
It’s not SW Maine. It University of Southern Maine. Played on Gorham campus. Be better."Chose the Irish over offers from Elon, North Dakota State, Idaho State, DeVry and Univ of SW Maine"
Talk to me when we stop losing to teams like buffalo or cal tech poly A&M. 👍Of all the things ND basketball supporters can be upset/frustrated about, this should be at the bottom of the list. The recruiting job Shrews has done overall the last 3 cycles has been awesome considering the product that has been put out on the court.
I wouldn’t totally dismiss Nick Shrews. As a junior on state champion (second highest level in Indiana) St. Joe’s, he averaged 14 points. Let’s see what happens this year.Oh joy
And St. Joe is absolutely stacked again this year, so I’d imagine his stats will be similar.I wouldn’t totally dismiss Nick Shrews. As a junior on state champion (second highest level in Indiana) St. Joe’s, he averaged 14 points. Let’s see what happens this year.
Some high schools distribute the ball well because of the talent.
JR Konieczny brother Chase was one of the players on the St. Joe High School team last year and I thought Chase was a better player than Nick to be quite honest. But Chase did not get offered a scholarship offer. Tells you all you need to know.I wouldn’t totally dismiss Nick Shrews. Don’t know if you all are aware of what’s going on but Tom is 100% right
Tom’s an amazing guy during my undergrad he always has lunch with his wife everyday at the cafeteria. Not only that they just sit with students and have casual conversation with everyone.Izzo and Saban are the two coaches I've met. I think of myself as a midget, but I looked Tom in the eye and looked down on Nick.
Yeah, I met him at a bar/restaurant in Frandor. He was neither keeping to himself nor seeking attention. Just an accessible guy.Tom’s an amazing guy during my undergrad he always has lunch with his wife everyday at the cafeteria. That’s the beauty of Lansing. Mostly chill to the bone people that are out and about.Yeah, I met him at a bar/restaurant in Frandor. He was neither keeping to himself nor seeking attention. Just an accessible guy.
Haha, that’s awesome! Small-world connections like that always make places feel even more personalThat’s the beauty of Lansing. Mostly chill to the bone people that are out and about.
I’ve never spoken with Tom but have seen him out a lot.
My mother grew up with his Lupe (Tom’s wife) as they were neighbors and believe her father worked my great-uncles farm.
Yeah, that tracks. Humphrey coming from OU was a solid pickup, and it’s interesting how Brey managed to keep Chris Thomas instead of letting him follow DohertyHumphrey was a transfer from OU. Chris Thomas technically comitted to Doherty but Brey convinced him to stay. Torin Francis was probably his best recruit based on rankings as I think he's still the only 5-star recruit he's brought in.
