Shrews is firing away at a high level![]()
Ament OVing for the FSU game.
I thought it was the girls. So the basketball team could end up with two 5star players. Awesome. Tell me again why the football team can’t recruit 5 stars…
Plus two strong 4 stars. This class is already sick. Trying not to get my hopes up here....So the basketball team could end up with two 5star players. Awesome. Tell me again why the football team can’t recruit 5 stars…
I've seen Sampson and Omalley mention it that there is a big draw for Shrewsberry's NBA connections and he is really leaning on it.This just underscores the point that the university isn’t the detractor or too stringent, it comes down to coaches and relationships. The basketball staff is filled with some dawgs who really excel in that area.
The football program has a few gaps at the present time.
Also, I think the dynamic in basketball where you *could* be a one and done is different than football. In football you’ve got to be a multiyear guy so you’re going to pick a school (in some cases) where if you know you’re league bound, you don’t want to play school.
Blake Wesley—I feel—has given ND some credibility in the one and done space while also still excelling in the market of multiyear guys and developing them.
Football is always going to have the issue of guys having to play school whereas basketball there’s a little more flexibility in that these days.
Shrews and Owens are a pretty good duo. Owens’s AAU scene contacts seem to finally be paying dividends and like you said, Shrews and his connects for getting kids to the Association is going to continue to pay off, too. It’s great spot to be for ND to be a conduit like that.I've seen Sampson and Omalley mention it that there is a big draw for Shrewsberry's NBA connections and he is really leaning on it.

Isn't the RALLY the one with Hannah Storm, Jordan Cornette & one other person?Wonder if any of this is due to RALLY starting and FUND diverting itself into the new NIL.
I'm really shocked at the 1 year improvement...amazed he can get these recruits, especially after last seasons record..but you could see the improvement last season...excited for this season.Isn't the RALLY the one with Hannah Storm, Jordan Cornette & one other person?
Maybe some of the players that are in the pro leagues are assisting with NIL for the basketball program?
With the time that Coach Shrews has been in the program he is bringing it to another level.
They just signed a consensus top 15 recruit in November?I don’t think ND has been in on this caliber of recruit since Cole Anthony
