Another nepo baby coming in. I can’t find a recruiting profile of his on 247 or Rivals, so I’m sure this will go well.

They get more scholarship spots now. We aren’t going to fill every spot with 4 and 5 stars. It’ll be okay.

To me, he presents as a solid NAIA player. He’s on par with Josiah Ball (Bethel) who I watched him play in the state tournament, or Gavin Betten (Grace) who starred for the 2A state champions.

Of all the things ND basketball supporters can be upset/frustrated about, this should be at the bottom of the list. The recruiting job Shrews has done overall the last 3 cycles has been awesome considering the product that has been put out on the court.
Talk to me when we stop losing to teams like buffalo or cal tech poly A&M. 👍

I wouldn’t totally dismiss Nick Shrews. As a junior on state champion (second highest level in Indiana) St. Joe’s, he averaged 14 points. Let’s see what happens this year.

Some high schools distribute the ball well because of the talent.

And St. Joe is absolutely stacked again this year, so I’d imagine his stats will be similar.

JR Konieczny brother Chase was one of the players on the St. Joe High School team last year and I thought Chase was a better player than Nick to be quite honest. But Chase did not get offered a scholarship offer. Tells you all you need to know.

Izzo and Saban are the two coaches I've met. I think of myself as a midget, but I looked Tom in the eye and looked down on Nick.
Tom’s an amazing guy during my undergrad he always has lunch with his wife everyday at the cafeteria. Not only that they just sit with students and have casual conversation with everyone.

Yeah, I met him at a bar/restaurant in Frandor. He was neither keeping to himself nor seeking attention. Just an accessible guy.

That’s the beauty of Lansing. Mostly chill to the bone people that are out and about.
I’ve never spoken with Tom but have seen him out a lot.
My mother grew up with his Lupe (Tom’s wife) as they were neighbors and believe her father worked my great-uncles farm.
