Do not want. I have a good friend at Temple who used to tutor him and these are direct quotes from our texting conversation on March 1 when we were talking about TU basketball...
him: "well I tutored Anthony Lee"
me: "that's awesome is he an idiot?"
him: "He almost failed elementary Algebra...."
me: "but hes really tall so its all good haha"
him: "When he walks he look like he is trying to think to breath. Its quite puzzling"

Im not trying to bash the kid, I just don't see him having success as a student athlete at ND.

kid averages nearly a double double but has to think about breathing?

this kid may be no brain but something tells me your friend has some sour grapes.

also, what college offers elementary algebra?

Just about every mediocre university. It's either the lowest or the second lowest math course, usually.

So for example MTH 100 OR MTH 105 OR MTH 005

Edit: I just looked CMU's up and it is MTH 055 and the lowest math course possible.

Just about every mediocre university..

Careful now. I assume most state schools offer it, because their mission it to educate the population not just the intelligent. The one at Ohio State is meant for veterans who haven't taken a math class in years, adults continuing their education, etc.

Nah, no sour grapes. He said he liked the kid, but he just wasn't the most intelligent. TIFWIW

My bad, I was just stating that my school offers it and couldn't vouch for any other university.

I guess what I meant by that is I doubt ND or any of the Ivy Leagues/Stanford offer it. But then again maybe they do?

It sounds kinda crappy but if he's here for only a year, then he can pretty much take whatever he wants. I remember a buddy of mine who was a freshman last year saying that Garrick Sherman was in one of his classes. My guess is that as a 5th year he can take an assortment of courses that may or may not lead to a specific graduate degree.

I think you have to be in a legitimate graduate program, and in this case one that Temple doesn't have.

Wasn't Kyle McCarthy taking classes like yoga or something similar(like ball room dancing)? I remember him talking about it during an interview during his 5th year. It was clearly so he could focus on football during the season.

Jon Horford from Michigan is transferring and will be immediately eligible. I wonder would he be an option for ND?

Al Horford's brother? That would be an awesome pickup but I'm guessing he will get interest from much better schools.

nice, I think he'd be a good fit. He's not someone that's going to get a lot of touches on the block but is fairly athletic. I think he mostly ran around setting screens for their four guards and crashing the boards.

I wonder how much he would legitimately contribute. He averaged something like 13 minutes as a junior a game on a team who was missing Mitch McGary for a majority of the year. I guess any big is better than no big though

Notre Dame has offered Nolan Cressler, a transfer guard from Cornell, according to 24/7.

Averaged 17 ppg last season (scored 17 vs. ND this year).

Would be eligible to play in 2015-2016, positing a junior status.

Same. I even tried pasting it into Word first and copying from there. I guess yall will just have to click this one.

This was my favorite part though:
“I’m thrilled that Matt Farrell is joining our basketball program,” Brey says. “I love watching him play; I have flashbacks of Kyle McAlarney (2005-09) when I watch Matt play. He’s extremely skilled and has a tremendous worth ethic. And like Kyle, was when he was a player here, Matt is really a gym rat and has a great feel for the game.

Stay away from trouble and make it rain Matt.

Saw Tom Noie tweeted that Bobby Hurley told Brey to recruit Farrell and that Hurley was reminded of himself when he saw Farrell play.
