Great win, three straight Final Fours is an amazing accomplishment.

The next two games will test the resolve of this team more than they have ever experienced. Beat a team with a coach that despises you for the 4th time in a season, then avoid a monumental letdown against a group of destiny's darlings that we've manhandled this season. (yes-making assumptions on Louisville)

Two games to define a legacy. Elway's Broncos or Kelly's Bills. Let's cut down some nets!!!!

I don't like having to play UConn for a 4th time this season.

Agreed. Seems unfair in terms of the seeding upon first glance, but Baylor was the overwhelming #1 team in the land. They earned the path of least resistance to the title, until the 'Ville shot 3s out of their mind.

Ladies will need to play their most disciplined game of the year. I would find a title having gone through UConn 4 times more rewarding than beating Baylor. If they play like they did in the second half against Duke for 40 minutes against the Huskies, good things will happen.

Congrats Lady Irish!!!! Great game to watch, but I dread the Uconn match-up for the 4th time.

Lets go Lady Irish!! Can't help but feel that the winner of ND UCONN will be the national champion. Beating any team 4 times in one year is not easy...

It's going to a hard fought game. If Achonwa and Diggins can have big games and stay out of fouls trouble, I think we win. If either struggle it's going to be rough.

Which raises a question at least in my mind. As this is NOT the Football NCG where the coaches are bound by agreement to vote that game winner #1, IF UCon won out and finished 35-4 with 3 of the 4 losses to a 35-2 ND would they be voted #1?

Or would ND based on a better recordowns 3 out of 4 wins in head to head competition? I don't know but doubt there's ever been a champion crowned with 3 losses to the same team.

Or would Baylor with 2 losses and wins over UC and ND but with an earlier Tournament exit to a much lesser team?

Yes I'm discounting UL and Cal. Either could win out but neither had a better season nor is a better team than ND, UC, or BU.

Obviously ND winning out make it no question, except to BU fans who remember the results of the head to head match.

This is one of the dumbest things in sports. I don't see teams that beat the Ravens in the regular season claiming they deserve a share of the title or what not. You lose in the tourney much less the Sweet 16 you don't deserve to be #1.

Not to mention that while big matchups in December are fun in college basketball they mean absolutely nothing come March. Just my opinion.

Heard in the pregame that Dolson has something wrong with her leg and might not be able to play the whole game. That could make a huge difference!

She's had a broken or cracked bone in her foot. Supposedly it not a weight bearing bone although I saw no explanation on how it affects her play. Obviously it does or she'd see more playing time. In their last game she spent time riding a stationary bike at the end of the bench.

If memory serves me correct, Dolson was in foul trouble the last time the teams played and missed a lot of minutes. But I guess if injured that adds a whole new dimension. Achonwa has to have the game of her life. Stay out of foul trouble. I am looking for Jewel Lloyd to hit some big three pointers.
