Not to a computer model it doesn't. Every point matters. That drive shows up in the stats as a failed red zone conversion.

I personally love the fact we just took a knee at the 1 yard line. 8:40 drive to end the game. We broke them. Screw the computer models, no way that is going to be the difference in getting in the playoffs or not.

Did Bonner ever come back after he was injured? There was a tweet from "Bonner" about Adams on the video board after the 77 yard run.

Yes he did and played quite a bit. Mack and Watkins however, never saw them after they went out. Watkins went out in the most low key way possible, holding his wrist.

I have no idea if he came back or not.

I understand that... but the fact of the matter is that ND just hung the #6 ranked defense with 35 and 300+ yards.... don't need a computer to figure that out. The computer sure didn't care last year....... ask Penn State.

Looking at Adams home run touchdown again, NCST’s defense made no sense at all lol. They had only two guys in the center of the field and on the second level, and one shot the gap. Make the other slightly miss and gone. Touchdown.

And that is what good (dare I say "elite") teams do: they punish you for your mistakes. Every team makes mistakes throughout the course of the game, what separates a team like Alabama from the pack is they consistently punish you for your mistakes. A misalignment in defense doesn't just lead to a first down or 10 yard run, but a huge play. NCST f**ked up thinking they had us off sides and we weren't satisfied just giving Finley his first INT in a year, but we punished them with a pick six. Teams have to play damn near flawless to beat us.

I agree the committee will definitely look at the computers, they would be stupid not too, but that is just going to be another data point for them, not the end all, be all.

If memory serves, college football subtracts tackles for loss and sack yardage against the rushing offense total? Our offense gave up twenty-two yards in tackles for loss.

Bradley Chubb ranks second nationally in tackles for loss and is tied for seventh nationally in sacks. He had three tackles for loss totaling six yards against us and one sack for one yard.

If any of the committee were watching the end of the game they will see it as a positive that we held the ball almost the final 9 minutes with our 4th string RB and showed some class but not rubbing our dominance in but showing the wannabes some mercy.

BTW Los like our USC win is gaining more respect with their beat down of ASU. The BC win and Wake Forest game also move up the food chain.

True, but I don't think they were.

While many of the members of the committee seem to have great credentials and are thought to be measured individuals, most have demanding and high-pressured full time jobs.

I can't honestly say what the committee talks about and how each approaches this task, but I would be extremely shocked if most didn't simply get their info from a few select sources, internally or externally. Add on that most are members of conferences and/or former specific schools, and I'd argue that there is very little that is actually "pure" about the committee's selections, contrary to what were told and lead to believe.

Just back to Iowa from South Bend...what a great weekend.

We punched NC State in the face, then we punched them in the gut, and finally we kicked them in the nuts.

Defense was everywhere. Great coverage for the whole game

Wimbush looked more patient in the pocket. That pass to Smythe was right at us and it was perfect.

Josh Adams is a beast. Our Offensive Line beat them down into submission.

Can't wait to watch the replay. So proud of my wife and daughter for braving the cold to ensure an Irish win....ND never loses when the go to the game!

The whole fan base and program seems to have the sour grapes, bad attitude, blame everyone but ourselves culture.

I never wish bad on opposing player. I don’t celebrate injuries or any of that...

But when you watch that game, regardless of what the injury was, a lot of hit has to do with us being more physical than they were. We punished them all night after that punt block.

Wimbush is way less jittery. He climbs the pocket, makes reads, and didn't just freak out and run. Not that his running is bad all the time. He looked way more poised and in control

Yeah, agreed. While it doesn't show up on the stat sheet he is a much better QB now than he was 6 or 7 weeks ago. At some point I feel it will all come together for him.

My guess is that the committee will know completely about the taking-of-the-knee and probably will like ND and Coach the more for it --- lots of those folks are Old School Honor-the-Game types of people. ... and two years ago, they really loved ND and our schedule.

Absolutely. These are heavyweight fights. Guys get hurt. If you don’t have the depth to overcome, recruit and coach better.

Well I remember the early 80's through present and the only other RB that I can compare him to is Denson. He could end his career doing something no other RB has done before. This is special.

Think about all the great running backs we have had....

I know he isnt a mutli dimensional player but as a pure RB.... he is having a hell of a career.

Denson, Ferguson, Pinkett............The best of the best, but I don't remember any of these three having so many big runs. Adams will be joining these guys in ND's "best of the best" RB club when it's all said and done.

Wimbush is getting better every game. I think missing the one game and having to watch from the sidelines may have benefited him as he could watch and process.
