I don't understand what happened to the NBA but I haven't watch it for a long time-no entertainment value at all. Man when I was a kid I loved it!

Looks like Westbrook is getting a slap on the wrist fine while the fan has been banned from attending Jazz games.

Harden was not fouled on that last shot. He maybe should've had a foul or two out of all of them.

He throws his legs out and causes the contact. I'm glad the refs are starting to catch on to this. It's bullshit and it kills the game. Defenders have the right to challenge. My hope is they don't swing it wildly the other way next game or when they move to Houston.

And the Celtics look very dangerous with their depth. They have a couple line-ups that can compete.

In the Bucks Celtics game the question is: "Are the Celtics finally starting to gel or are the Bucks showing their youth and lack of playoff experience?

Probably a little bit of both. The Celtics defense is able to lockdown a star player and the Bucks maybe don't have the personnel to counteract.

The Celtics made it look easy so that's a good sign for them. They did it without a big piece on this roster. They might round into form at the right time.

And I simply can't root for the Rockets. I dislike their approach to the game. I'd love to see Harden just take a shot and come back down without throwing his body left/right/forward/back/a button/ b button/ start/stop/start.

He probably could've made 2-3 more shots if he just took a regular shot. He's always trying to draw defenders into him or create contact and I hate that shit so much.

Announcers need to stop trying to make me feel sorry for Golden State.

"How will this ragtag group of a x2 MVP, a DPOY, a Finals MVP, and two all-stars playing below market value with a deep bench hold on without the presence of Kevin Durant?"

Anyone else thinking achilles with Durant?

I've been thinking that the whole time. Can't believe he went back out to try and play thru it in a contract year. I'm not saying it's right but if he had any sort of strain/partial tear, it was a dangerous move.

Achilles injuries ruin careers easily. Hoping for the best for KD.

I also really like Leonard. Doesn't talk or flaunt or strut around. Just goes out and plays his game at an extremely high level.

I never advocate for a player to get hurt, and I wish him a speedy recovery, but you have to wonder if karma isn't coming to haunt Durant for making the move to Golden State.

Well then karma took its sweet ass time and waited for him to win two Finals MVPs. Maybe it’s the fact he was going to leave such a perfect situation. Knicks fans must be going crazy.

What karma is that? Based on the ulukinatme karmic system? Explain what he did wrong to deserve to potentially have a career-ending injury. Did he molest children? Did he murder someone? Has he been charged with a serious crime? Committed some grave atrocity that would lead us to hope for his demise?

I will probably root against Durant for life for his shenanigans, but suggesting that he deserved to get hurt is no bueno.

I don't blame Durant for going to GS. We'd probably make the same decision if we were in his spot.

If it is indeed his achilles, there is a good possibility he ends up staying with GS. This is one of the tougher injuries to recover from and one of the longest in terms of recovery times. Kobe was never his old self after his. Would the Knicks or any other team be willing to trade or sign a player that has this injury before it's evident he's going to be okay? Need to get the results of the MRI to see the degree of severity.

Remember all those pieces about how awesome Toronto is and how classy their fans are? Things like “oh we don’t trash talk in Canada we’re too polite for that.”

I have NEVER seen a stadium/arena applaud an injury like that. Not even in Ohio State vs Michigan, Bama vs Auburn, etc. People in the arena and people in bars caught on tape *celebrating* a serious injury.

I had no rooting interest but now fuck it... Go Warriors.

People out in Jurassic Park (supposedly the real fans priced out of the game) were cheering even more than in the stadium.

Big topic of discussion on sports radio today. I as well hope the Warriors can pull this out. If they can even the series, Toronto might find their sphincters tightening up more than an unsuspecting visitor at Jurassic Park bumping into a raptor after being up 3-1.

I'm all in for the Raptors.

That way I can say I beat the coaches of the current NCAA and NBA champions in the same season. Actually did it in a 2 week period. Also beat Thad Matta and any guy who ever coached from that season's ND team.

Did go 0-1 that season vs Chris Mack and Wayne Tinkle for full disclosure.

I hate Kevin Durant, but that was tacky af. I still want the Raptors to win, but that was trash. Yuck. I HOPE they thought he just retweaked his calf, then I can sorta see the allure of being happy he's going out. That's not serious. But a torn Achilles...man that sucks.

I have bone deformities in both of my feet that required surgery to shave the heel bone down. They had to detach my Achilles to do that and screw it back into place. It took well about two years before I could really open up and do things full speed again. I'm very sympathetic to anyone who has an Achilles problem.

First off, yes, it's a serious injury...I'd put money down that he'll come back from it though. He probably could just call it a career and hang them up, but he's not like that. He has plenty of money to get the best doctors and rehab possible. He's also one of, if not the best player in the NBA right now, so I'm banking that this will be a minor setback.
Second, Durant joined an already stacked Golden State team that never needed him to begin with. They were already the best team in the league by a decent margin. By Durant joining the Warriors it would be like if Bo Jackson, Jerry Rice, and Joe Montana all left their respective teams to join the '85 Bears. It's just bad for the sport, and it's amazing what Toronto has accomplished even with Durant out, but luck has been fortunate to them this series.
I could go on, but you get the idea. No need to take this personal. I never wish that he or any other player gets injured, and I hope he has a speedy recovery. Can you imagine how boring this Finals would be had Durant been healthy the entire series? The Warriors would predictably be hoisting the trophy again, and the only fans that would be happy about it are Golden State. They've effectively become the Patriots of the NBA, people are tired of the domination. Maybe you're a Golden State fan, I don't know, but Durant being out this series is just good for the sport and it feels like the universe is a little more aligned.

Interesting how people see them. I'm a Pacer and Colts fan and don't think of them in the same light as the Pats. GS hasn't been accused of any shenanigans and I find the Warriors pretty likeable. Except for Green, I don't see them whining nearly as much as a lot of other players and teams.

Take away the Pats shenanigans and they're still winning a ton of games and Super Bowls. Is winning wrong? Of course not, but after you've been toying with all the other teams in the league for years it gets to be a little boring and predictable. It's not good for the sport. The Pats have been an incredibly dominating dynasty in the last 10 years, and Golden State is in that same company should they continue on their current path. I don't find them likable personally, at least when it comes to most of the starters. They tend to be rather cocky and egotistical, and for good reason I guess. Green is this generation's Dennis Rodman without the outlandish wardrobe and hair. He's the bad boy of the Warriors, although he's been staying out of trouble a little more in recent years. Curry whines plenty, I don't care for him personally. Klay is plenty cocky. Durant tends to be more humble and has a good attitude, so I won't include him. It's not just the starters though, the organization is not that likable. This was two years ago, and they haven't improved after winning two more titles since then:

I don't always agree with Cowherd, but there are other examples of publications calling out the Warriors arrogance/attitude:

Those are just some of the top hits that were returned. I don't think I'm in the minority that believes Golden State is unlikable. I think the average fan really isn't pulling for Golden State to continue their winning streak unless they were already Golden State fans to begin with.

Durant is definitely being punished by cosmic forces for signing with the Warriors. Obviously the gods who created karma, have the exact same views as you in regards to keeping the NBA even. They hate seeing talented players join other talented players to get rings and boost their stock. They said it 'ruins da game' during my last NBA intercessory prayer session.

There's always going to be people that dislike winning teams. I'm included. I just don't find that type of disdain for the Warriors. Everyone loved them when they first won. Now that they are consistent title contenders it's time to hate? I guess it's all in one's perception.

Sure, everyone loves the Cindarella story. I'm sure lots of people were happy when the Pats won their first Super Bowl, but today the average fan is rather sick of them.

I'm with Ulikinatme here. Kevin Durant's "legacy" would have been better had he stuck it out with OKC or gone somewhere else and won a ring as opposed to joining up with a super team to win it all, after they'd already won it more than once. He had GS on the brink of elimination in the WCF when he was with OKC. They choked away a 3-1 lead. "If you can't beat them, join them" I mean, I guess? But it just looks weak when you look at KD's "legacy." What legacy? He joined an already established dynasty and won two more championships with said dynasty...to me him winning those rings is no more impressive than Jonas Jerebko winning said rings. KD just added a layer of frosting on an already delicious cake.

Parity is good for sports. The NBA feels like I'm watching a re-run of one of my favorite sitcoms. I feel like I'm just picking up on a few new details from re-watching the episode.

Also, there is no room in any sport for the reaction the Toronto fans had when KD went down. Reminded me of when Rodgers got hurt in Minnesota in 2017 with the collarbone injury. But what short memories; are we forgetting that in game three at Oracle, a partial owner shoved and slandered a professional athlete while sitting court side? Glass houses...

Kevin Durant is considered the best player in the NBA right now by anyone who matters, and will go down as a top 10 player of all time IMO.

If he stayed in OKC and was titleless, he'd be lumped in as a slightly better James Harden IMO.

He absolutely helped his legacy by going to the GSW and history will show that, even if people in the moment think that hurt his legacy.

You can't compare that idiot owner to the fans applauding an injury, but he was dealt with swiftly and probably won't be a minority owner come this time next year.

Listening to Clay Travis he invited callers to weigh in and try to defend Toronto fans actions. One guy from Canada calls in and says everyone in Canada hates Toronto. They are all snobbish rich people who like to think they are superior. The arena was built right by their version of Wall Street and most regular fans can't afford a ticket. Travis asks the caller if he thinks Trudeau should apologize for the fans. The caller says, "Sure, he apologizes for everything else!" lol
