I’m actually shocked that ND was a near unanimous #2 besides in 2 ballots they were 3. I fully expected Fonseca to put them 6 or 7 to mess up the numbers

If they hadn’t completely shat themselves in the Rose Bowl, maybe. But we (and Texas) both played Ohio State a lot closer, and beat other top 10 teams in the playoffs, which Oregon did not.

Eh, Texas never impressed me all year. They lost basically every elite/close to elite team they played. UGA should be ranked ahead of Texas in my opinion, they beat them twice and won their conference. I get Texas won two play off games, but if you look at their level of competition in those games, it's a little deceptive.

If we played Texas last night I think we beat the hell out of them. Saw them live twice this year and was thoroughly whelmed.

For real though this season has totally spoiled me. I don't know if I can emotionally handle missing the playoffs now that I know it can be this fun.

I’ve rewatched a bit and while our defense definitely didn’t play well, Howard just flat out didn’t miss. He put the ball exactly where he wanted to virtually every time. The throw he made to Egbuka while getting drilled hit him perfectly in stride. I said it last night, but I’ll reiterate—that dude played a great game. Props to him bc I didn’t think he had it in him.

Exactly. Was the first time in the playoffs we didn’t get the ball to start the second half, and it hurt us.
