UF issued a statement that read, "Coach Muschamp is aware and handling the matter."

Does the UF Dean of Students handle the matter if it was a student?

Man ResLife would be having a field day if they took up shop at other schools.

Only in SEC territory would they refer to the perp of a violent crime in the present tense as "is the starting middle linebacker," in addition to saying the coach not school officials are taking care of it. And don't get me started that felonious assault is a second degree misdemeanor. Maybe the criminal defense among you could explain to me how a single agent of the establishment (who we have to assume was doing his duty with both reports and facts indicating nothing was provoked) getting struck by a fist not cause a felony indictment? And what is a nineteen year old doing in a bar, arguing about a cover charge anyway? Do they actually allow underage kids into bars and stamp them "sell discretely, underage" or something?

Four Vandy football players allegedly suspended amid sexual assault investigation.

And can we include Aaron Hernandez here?

Outstanding Woolybug. Two of my neighbors are big Gator fans and we get into it (in a friendly way) over the fire-pit. This is some fresh ammo. I'm going to memorize each Florida name and then just let it rip this weekend. thanks

If only we could include Ex-SEC players like a certain ex-nfl TE from NE. I'd say graduated SEC players, but that would drastically reduce the contestant pool.

I'd like to see a list of the crimes committed as well. We had Floyd, Rees, and Calabrese arrested but running from the cops while underage drinking is a bit less severe than a lot of the SEC felonies.

This is disappointing. It's really not the type of thing that goes down at Vandy. It's a great school with a rich academic history. It looks like the University acted swiftly and decisively.

Maybe they had to; police may have informed them the players in question were going to take the big fall . . . The only choice then is to go along with it. You don't even need to release names. The police blotter takes care of that.

Guy was also arrested in high school for banging a 14 year old. Good ole SEC boy right there!

Sure was! Quote from the article:

The matter has put Hill's 2013 season in doubt because LSU's leading rusher last season is already on probation stemming from his January 2012 plea of misdemeanor carnal knowledge of a juvenile.

Les Miles; what he should have said is we will have nothing further to say because this kid is off the team.

Anybody know more about this? I mean, it sounds bad, but I had a buddy that was a 16 year old sophomore that was dating a 14 year old freshman. It is a pretty common occurance actually (in many states, totally legal), my buddy has been married to that girl for 12 years now. I would want to know the age differences and the situation before assuming that this kid really did something wrong. He may have just been with his girlfriend, who had some spiteful parents. Happens all of the time.

Then, if he was getting publicly humiliated with heckling, I could understand him acting out. There is a lot more to this story it seems. Could definetely be a case of circumstance.

PS - By no means am I defending him, just saying that this situation might not be as black/white as it seems.
