If that is the case wouldn’t he have to sit out the remainder of the season. And as someone above mentioned vacate all wins Young has participated in since he took money from an agent?

If this turns true, isnt it grounds for forfeit of games he played in?

I mean, ND gave it up for less than this from the NCAA

It'd be hard to prove that Ohio State played him while knowing that he had taken the money. And OSU is definitely gonna tell the NCAA to pound sand when they ask for more details

Bucknuts says an agent paid for his parents to fly to the Rose Bowl last year.

In order for wins vacated, OSU would had to have known about it I believe (as Zelezo has mentioned).

However, I would think Chase is done this year.

So ND knew about the woman helping the players on the test when it was happening??? How is it ND had to forfeit the games but OSU doesnt?

I think the NCAA claimed that the girl, as a tutor, was a Notre Dame employee and therefore it was ND's fault

This is what I was thinking. I don’t believe the administration at ND knew what was going on until after the fact and then they self reported. If this is the case then why shouldn’t OSU not have to vacate wins in all games from the Rose Bowl on?

IIRC, she wasn't a tutor; she was a part time employee of the athletic department which turned it into an impermissible benefits issue.

I'm pretty sure they changed the rule immediately after ND.

Ah my bad, I forgot her official tie to the university.

A family friend for a whole 2 years? Makes sense. Nothing to see here. This will turn into a “poor college kid doesn’t have any money” argument notwithstanding the $200,000 college scholarship he is getting. Guaranteed.

Some rumor sites are saying this might have been a lot of money. Makes you wonder how he would have paid that off if it really was a "loan."

No big deal. These kids can afford those tattoo's, that cost thousands of dollars.

Another example of UM's programs being dirty.

ND didn't handle their situation very well. They may as well of gift wrapped it and shipped it to Indy through Amazon Prime.

"From a family friend I've known since the summer before my freshman yr." In other words, a booster he met on a visit to O$U. Pound sand Chase and the rest of you *uckeyes. Any chance Urb made the introduction?

A family friend he met before his freshman year? Hahaha, surely the NCAA, and anyone else with a working brain, isn't naive enough to believe this is anything other than a booster that payed this dude to come to OSU. This, my friends, is why we're losing the 5* fight with the big dogs. Those kids aren't turning down duffel bags of cash, or cars, or whatever.

Perhaps he sold options on the future value of his NCAA for sale likeness.

So why exactly did ND get clobbered so hard by the NCAA... did the NCAA know ND knew about it only because ND actually punished the players?

The blue print is to announce an internal investigation into how this accident occurred.
