Jason gave him a one month ban for copying and pasting copyrighted material from other sites here. Apparently he's been warned about it several times before, as it exposes IE to some serious legal liability. I'm sure he'll be back soon.

He's got a month-long break for copying and pasting articles from other sites in a way which could expose the board to liability for infringement. He's received multiple warnings on several occasions from me and from other mods which, while acknowledged, did not result in a change in his posting behavior. Copyrights are something we are taking seriously, especially given the history of the board.

I assume he wasn't citing his references which would make it legal?

That actually wasn't the issue. Even if you leave a link, you can't copy and paste any substantial part of an article. Summaries and paraphrasing is generally permissible, limited snippets with your own commentary on what you've quoted and with a reference to the original article is generally permissible.

Just because someone's opinion is likely wrong doesn't give someone the right to tee-off on her. For the record, Denard Robinson had less than 230 TOTAL yards and 4 INTs. I'd say it turned out she was right.

And on the 'passive aggressiveness', I agree with dshans in general.

But I'd say I'm anything but passive aggressive 99% of the time. I like to fuck shit up.

I miss Kissme, GTFI, and HCTI.

They all have been outstanding posters. I haven't always agreed with them. And there are other posters like ACamp that I don't always agree with (only politically). And then Johnny and I suffer from sibling rivalry. None of these people have I had the need to call names and get in a knock down drag out fight with!

In fact, most posters I seen, haven't had the need or desire to call anyone names except obvious trolls. And that is kind of fun!

Even the great legendary Diamond Lake incident which resulted in my first ban, which a user insisted on continuing to doubt that taking the team for a cookout was a really bad thing (shades of Miami's boats and hoes), several of us specifically pointed out the incredible stupidity of the action, not the poster. I believe Johnny was in on that one, also.

Here is to everyone getting along, which is better than it was; here is to some good posters, brothers and sisters coming back, and here is to a great season to share with each other.

I honestly have no idea what happened or who the 'jerkface' was. IMHO it doesn't matter the opinion, right or wrong, if you make it personal enough to make that person leave a forum, its wrong.
Period.
Especially when its a girl in a mans world, she already feels awkward and on an island. She more than likely doesn't know as much as most of us here but theres no reason whatsoever to make it that personal and be cruel.
Last I looked, this was a forum for expression of opinion, not a new source where everything has to be fact based and perfect. Am I wrong?
I can relate to similar situations; I join a new forum I have a lot of interest and passion for, I want to be accepted and noticed, so I say stuff I'm not real experienced in and post things that maybe inaccurate cause i want to participate and I'm passionate about the subject.
Many forums are horrible like DjForums .com was a cruel, cold and dark place lol Looperman . com, on the other hand, was warm, forgiving and welcoming.
This place has always been legit to me even through my foolishness and immaturity. Its a bummer that side wasn't conveyed to Kissme and she left.
This doesn't have anything to do with right or wrong info or speculation.
No one should be treated like that.

In fact I will go one further. More than one poster, included those already mentioned, stated that I must be "bedding" Kiss me, because of my strong support, and our obvious cordiality. They stated it in threads on IE, for all to see. But a couple other people, Beau, dshans, Johnny, HCTI, Wooly, ACamp and others were just as friendly and supportive of Kissme (not to mention the deer.)

But them saying that was a calculated offense that shows the low character that was present at the time. If you say a guy is on the site is bedding a woman, that is a feather in his cap. If you say that the (damn near only) woman on the site is bedding one of the other posters, (seriously, not in jest) that is catastrophic. First of all there is the intimation that she is a slut, (the currency of sexism), but it screws up the dynamics of the site, as many peoples feeling will undoubtedly get hurt.

This is the way it happened. As a serious accusation. And this is in my mind a big part of why Kissme left. There was never any truth to the rumor, but their never is. Saying it does all the damage.

I have always felt this is why Kissme left; and this is why I have gone toe to toe with a couple of posters, no matter what the consequences. And I will continue that policy in the future. For two years I have been called names, fine. I look at the douche clowns that call names and laugh, but some people are in a more difficult situation than I.

That's not my question. Last time he had a tantrum and unfriended me (and gave me a lip stick as a gift, too) he told me that I was on his ignore list. What happened to that? Go figure!

I am sure he will come back and talk about the nasty stuff he said to many posters in private messages, including calling users gay, mentally ill, etc., and then how he denied it to the community as a whole. He used this as a tactic when he was moderator, as two other users alerted me to the technic. So I kept the messages and forwarded them on when appropriate. And there you have the rest of the story.

I still have some classic raunchy pm's somewhere.

But that isn't even the point. This could have been dropped.

You know, the real rest of the story is that I met NDinLA beneath lamppost 9 at the Joyce Center Lot, at the ISD Tailgate party, and we shook hands. He seemed to be a much nicer guy (in real life) than me.

Sorry for all the abuse you've taken Bog. I had no idea. I've always appreciate your input and posts. I'm on that side with you, I won't result to insulting or judging random strangers on a irrelevant message board. Better things to do. And the fact that some do, as to where it affects people in reality is just sad, tragic and infuriating.
