I haven't commented in a long, long time and have been a member and reader here for over 10 years but I cannot be silent when racist things get posted on this board. Calling a group of predominantly black young men "inmates" is not ok anymore. I'm old, I know it's a saying, but I also know that we are capable of thinking about what we write and say before doing it and not writing and/or saying it if it could be easily read as offensive to a group of people. I'm not saying you can't say it, I'm saying you shouldn't say it. It's not being politically correct, it's being responsible for one's actions and being considerate of other people's feelings in the context of their experiences.
To compare CNN, MSNBC, or other news stations to OAN is also irresponsible and unresearched. They also characterized the elderly man from Buffalo who is catholic and a peace activist - which is kinda what any catholic should be based on the actual words in the new testament - as an antifa terrorist. Not saying they also don't have the right to lie but again, Gundy is an adult and it is a privilege to hold his job and he should be held accountable for supporting such organizations. I am a physician and I would not bat an eye if I was disciplined or talked to by my supervisors for being seen around town working out in such a t-shirt.
