6 carries for 3 yards, and 1 reception for 2 yards. Way to go Justice! lol

So they didnt even play Robinson because he had been practicing "so well". Interesting.

I just want to see Denard constantly pulling dirt and grass out of the crevices of his face-mask on the night of September 22nd.

A lot of fluffing by the coaching staff. Last years defense had the luxury of playing one of the weakest schedules in the nation.

Reality check in Ann Arbor week 1 vs Alabama.

backup running-back ran all over the d-line, d-line is atrocious

"ran all over". 9 carries for 39 yds ???

He had a 21 yd TD but he Play by Play doesn't indicate him running all over.

Play 15:
2nd-and-5 from 25: Thomas Rawls 4-yard run

Play 16:
3rd-and-1 from 21: Thomas Rawls no gain (tackle by Marvin Robinson on cut-back attempt)

Play 17:
4th-and-1 from 21: Thomas Rawls 21-yard touchdown run (Matt Wile PAT)

HALFTIME

Play 29:
1st and 10 from 32: Thomas Rawls 5-yard run

Play 30:
2nd-and-5 from 37: Thomas Rawls 1-yard run

Play 45:
4th-and-1 from 47: Thomas Rawls run for 0 yards

(Reset scenario)

Play 49:
1st-and-10 from 27: Thomas Rawls 5-yard run

Play 52:
1st-and-goal from 3: Thomas Rawls 1-yard run

Play 53:
2nd-and-goal from 2: Thomas Rawls 2-yard touchdown run (Brendan Gibbons PAT)

Play 69:
4th-and-goal from 2: Thomas Rawls 1-yard run, tackle by Tamani Carter

Not everything is about stats, I watched some of the game. The d line is awful, linebackers are pretty good

How did their DBs and WRs look?

I think we will be able to run on them very effectively. They will really miss Martin.

..I was really looking forward to seeing Lynch pick bits of Denard out of his facemask this season, but I guess that's what this "next man in" business is all about.

God I hate Michigan.

They lost that other guy too on the line that was really good. Pipkins will be good, but if we don't run the ball for over 200 against them I will be disappointed

I watched half the game. They looked like crap... but I dunno how far down on the depth chart the people I was watching were. Devin Gardner looked horrible. In fact, all of their skill position players on offense were just completely unimpressive.

Their defense looked solid, all things considered, but they weren't impressive in the trenches... and I think their LBs/DBs looking solid was as much because of their crappy skill position players as anything else.

All things considered, none of their QBs looked remotely competent... but Denard is Denard. Last time I saw Denard, though, he was getting totally owned by a Virginia Tech defense that had just given up 38 points and nearly 500 yards to Clemson. I expect them to be solid defensively with Blake Countess being the best CB they've had in a long time... but watching Alabama's spring game vs. Michigan's told me all I needed to know about the overall depth/talent of the Wolverines.

To be fair, I don't think we're much better (in fact, we might be worse) at most skill positions.

The only time I will ever root for Alabama to trounce their opponent will be at UMs opener.

I think skill position wise we'd def have the advantage at TE & RB.

Fitzgerald Toussaint is better than Cierre Wood. I don't think there would be an advantage at RB.

We could debate Toussaint vs Wood but it wouldn't really matter because:

ND O-Line, Wood, Riddick etc >>>>> UM O-Line, Toussaint etc

In determining how good a team will be the following year.

This.

Some people are commenting on how bad this player looked or that unit played. The game has very very little predictive value. Most coaches just pray for no injuries
