I like the hire because Freeman’s 3-3-5 basically becomes a 4-2-5, depending on his personnel deployment.
Instead of wondering who our ace-in-the-hole Rover is, we will now be on the search for the perfect Sniper. Nearly the same, but I think Freeman’s Sniper’s have more freedom in coverage responsibilities than JOK did. JOK would run deep with slot receivers, but Freeman’s Snipers could end up shifting to deep middle as part of coverage rotation on one play, then be shooting a gap in run support the next.
Kyle Hamilton will prosper if they find two capable safeties to be on the field with him, is what I’m saying.
