Oregon is caught red-handed, so the "bury your head in your sand and wait for the commissioner to make it go away" routine SEC schools use ain't happening here.
They are taking the opposite out-spoken approach, decreeing the legitimacy of this payment.
What's fishy:
1) They flat-out lied all week, saying "we have no idea of an NCAA investigation" while it was going on
2) The payment was filed under "Books, Publications, and other Ref." If this recruiting service is so legit, then why are you burying the payment in that category?
3) An article on SI today said that the most expensive "ALL-INCLUSIVE" package this recruiting service offers on their website is only $8,000. Why did they feel the need to tip Lyles $17,000?
It simply doesn't add up.
