My 12 year old son told me earlier that Bama was favored by ten and everybody was voting Bama to win. He then said, that's wrong, we are #1! If Bama was better wouldn't they be #1? I said, wish it was that simple but 40 years ago Bama saw it that way even after they lost the bowl game. So I guess we could **** em off and do the same. J/K

I remember being in the stadium in '87 when Alabama visited. Bama cheerleaders would yell ALA & their fans kept chanting BAMA. One older gentleman sitting next to us would always chant "Gramma" during the bama part. Just a memory I wanted to share.

Watching then run out of the tunnel at the National Championship will be a surreal moment. Especially with the fact that we started the season unranked. I have become so accustomed to mediocrity that Monday night will be tough to grasp as reality.

I feel it now, the moment is real. About 40 some days ago our Irish team went to LA and secured a spot in the NCG. From the Sunday after until today this website has been filled with recruiting updates and coaching change updates. I can't believe it is actually here, I'm about to watch my Irish play for the crystal football. All of my life, people all around have said "the Irish can't do it, not with the way college football is played these days.". It's time to shut those people up and show them how the Irish boys play ball.

Win or lose, I am extremely proud of this team. They exceeded my expectations of a 10-2 season. The future is bright South Bend!

Go Irish! Beat Bama!

I'm a college basketball fan too. Duke fan. This game reminds me of the feeling I had before the Duke vs Butler title game. None of us Duke fans knew much about Butler, but we knew they must be good if they had made it to the title game. I was miserable through the entirety of that one, and I expect to be miserable tomorrow.

Strangely, I'm not overly worried about tomorrow. This season exceeded my expectations by so much already.

I'm watching the BCS Countdown on ESPN and I've moved my pillow and blanket to the couch. I'm staying up all night watching everything Notre Dame.

It's got to be better than the other BCS games. I don't know why teams can't get up for a game under the lights on national TV. Does it get to be that routine for those guys? My real question is, is there a meaner more mad at the world coach than Bob Stoops?
