<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Get all of that and more in this week’s ISD Intel. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/NotreDame?src=hash">#NotreDame</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Irish?src=hash">#Irish</a> <a href="http://t.co/3iI10rcDuq">http://t.co/3iI10rcDuq</a></p>— Irish Sports Daily (@ISDUpdate) <a href="https://twitter.com/ISDUpdate/status/533258547325579264">November 14, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Christian:

- Ykili Ross is very excited for his visit. Not on commit watch though.

- ND's preference is Safety to CB but Ross and Marshall are definite takes.

- Ronald Jones: They have been working on him for a long time. While they still prefer Soso, Jones is their preferred choice behind Soso and even that gap is very close.

- Speaking of Soso. No new news. Still believe it be a ND-UCLA battle. The thinking is maybe he likes the process HOWEVER he may be waiting too long when its all said and done.

- Dexter Williams is visiting next week.

- Plans for Ronnie Harrison to visit next week are still being worked on and there's a chance he might not even come. Unsure right now.

- Nothing new on Ben Edwards. ND-Stanford-UCLA is the current battle.

- Gary Jennings is a versatile player who could play safety or WR. They are expecting Jennings and his family to like the visit. Jennings' father is in the FBI so Christian thinks he will be impressed with the total package ND presents.

- The battle for A'lize Jones is very much alive. Its still only an ND-UCLA battle and Jones is a definite take no matter what.

- Coach Booker has been upfront and honest with Lawrence Cager the entire process and that has led Cager to keep ND in the running. He has spoken to Brian Kelly which was important. The trip to Alabama isn't a surprise because he was originally visiting Alabama when he bumped them in favor of visiting ND. He is still visiting Dec. 12.

- Another mention on Ykili Ross. His dad, despite being an SC fan said he will not hold Ykili back from going wherever he wants. He said he talks to Coach Elliott while Ykili Ross talks to Coach Cooks. He hasn't talked to Brian Kelly yet so this weekend is huge. His dad was able to talk to the man "with the funny mustache" when he stopped at the school.

- Nothing new on Cam Scarlett. He's slowed down his visits but nobody has a feel for who leads.

- Major props are being given Megan Whitt. Christian says she has been instrumental in upping the game for unofficial and official visits. She has been the reason why recruits have been giving more praise to their visits as she has been able to add the "home" feeling for them. ISD expects the banquet to be the biggest one yet and showcases such as Junior Day and Irish Invasion will be bigger and better then ever before.

- Notes about Brad Hawkins and Damar Hamlin but its the usual they are excited and want to visit bit.

- 2017 QB Hunter Johnson is visiting. Tommy Kraemer will be in town and so will 2016 OL Noah DeHond. 2016 WR Roddrick Bryant will also be in town and a name to watch moving forward. 2016 CB Baylen Buchanan is visiting and is the son of former CB Ray Buchanan. ND will know where they stand with him after this weekend.

- 2016 DT Antwaun Jackson is a tough pull from down south but he's wanting to hear more from the Irish.

- DeShone Kizer is given praise as he is further along in his development then most QBs at this stage. Look for ND to look for athletes to play QB for the 2016 cycle especially those who could play another position.

Ronnie Harrison is a long shot for the Irish at this point. Seems Fla, Georgia, and Texas are pushing hard for him right now. End of the day, I expect Bama to keep him but Fla sneaking in would not shock me either.

Agreed, his OV would be like a lottery ticket. Why not see what happens, with very little risk.

I am not 100% sure ND is really pushing Harrison. They are about to go all in for Ross and Edwards. They have DBs that can play either CB or S and Ross can definitely slide into either position.

Yup. That's pretty much what ISD is saying.

Interesting that Kizer is mentoined as an ATH who could play other positions.

I think the staff is saying they'll look at 2016 QB/ATH so if they need to make a position change due to Kizer being entrenched as the starter moving forward they'd have some options. I don't think Kizer would be moved.

anyone care to pass on the intel that dropped today?

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Click here to read this week's ISD Intel. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/NotreDame?src=hash">#NotreDame</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Irish?src=hash">#Irish</a> <a href="http://t.co/eybki7SDuE">http://t.co/eybki7SDuE</a></p>— Irish Sports Daily (@ISDUpdate) <a href="https://twitter.com/ISDUpdate/status/538332154976292865">November 28, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Authored by Christian:

- The USC game is very important for recruiting not to mention the momentum it could have for the young players. A win and even better a dominant win could move the needle for ND for a couple of players:

Ykili Ross, he will be in attendance. Arguably the top recruit an ND win could influence.

Iman Marshall, insists he is visiting ND for the banquet and a win could help.

Marvell Tell, a win could convince him to visit ND.

ESB, while he loves ND, traveling to Indiana may be what is holding him back. A win could convince him otherwise.

Joseph Wicker, despite some academic cleaning up, which he is serious about, getting a win would be huge.

Rasheem Green, slight chance to get a visit but a big win could change his mind.

Ronald Jones, rumored to be visiting USC so a chance for ND to impress him. Still scheduled to visit for the banquet.

Porter Gustin, still maintains interest in ND.

- Marvell Tell: Sources have told ISD that ND is a secret player. While USC is listed as the favorite and those in Texas think one of the southwest teams could get him, a good source told ISD that the Tell camp is recruiting ND as much as ND is recruiting him. Coaches will be visiting him.

- Look for Dexter Williams to reschedule for the banquet.

- Dexter Williams' head coach thinks that ND is close to offering teammate 2016 WR Eddie McDoom and that 2016 QB, whom the Irish offered this week, Woody Barrett is a legitimate prospect. Gus Malazhan listed him as #1 on their board and Spurrier made him run the 40 over and over because they couldn't believe he runs a 4.40 40 at his size. Think Cam Newton/Dak Prescott.

- Scouting report on Brandon Wimbush.

- Adonis Williamson might not be a fit academically.

- Scooter Harrington, 2016 TE, was in to see ND for the NW game. Has an offer from Yale so academically he will fit. Planning on sending ND his junior game film and is hoping for an offer. Was impressed by the campus and business school.

- A bunch of ND targets and where they will be visiting this weekend.

- Liam Eichenberg remains high on ND and no reason ND still isn't the leader. Has a great relationship with Hiestand.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Get all of that and much, much more in this week’s ISD Intel. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/NotreDame?src=hash">#NotreDame</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Irish?src=hash">#Irish</a> <a href="http://t.co/ImrdrTbwdj">http://t.co/ImrdrTbwdj</a></p>— Irish Sports Daily (@ISDUpdate) <a href="https://twitter.com/ISDUpdate/status/540869154669359104">December 5, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

- The big news was Jerry Tillery and the package he signed. While he'll no longer visit for the banquet due to his sister's graduation, he will be visiting the week before he officially enrolls.

- He said no more visits until he moves in in regards to other schools. Kerry Cooks had an in-home visit and will be returning with BK soon. No other schools will be conducting an in-home visit.

- Florida is making Tevon Coney a priority. Word is they are keeping DJ Durkin on as DC who was the one recruiting Coney. Initially the Gators were okay with losing Coney because they felt they were getting Roquan Smith but he appears to be staying in state and signing with UGA.

- They thought is DJ Durkin will conduct an in-home this week with McElwain coming in next week. It should be noted that ISD is unclear if Coney actually signed the financial aid paperwork.

- Jeremy Smith still hasn't received his official ND offer but signs point to the offer being given out during his official visit and if/when that's the case, he's pretty much all ND. He would be a sophomore next season.

- Soso Jamabo is saying all the right things but ND appears to be losing ground. Ron Jones is trending up and ISD expects him to be Irish but if he isn't, look for Dexter Williams.

- Cam Scarlett and Nick Brossette are pretty much done as well as Cordell Broadus. ND is in good shape with Lawrence Cager, ESB, and A'lize Jones.

- Hunter Dale is expected to lock in his official visit for the banquet and travel with Bo Wallace. He has been going back and forth with Cooks via Twitter lately.

- Gary Jennings is a very versatile player. The thought is he could play safety or WR but his coach believes he could also play CB. Although ND entered the game late, other schools are scrambling and he is visiting next week.

- Bob Elliott was out to see Porter Gustin. He was able to explain to Gustin, his dad, and his coach the reason for ND's struggles. Gustin was understanding of the injuries and youth and Gustin himself broke both hands and a rib this year. ND is still running high on Gustin.

- Elliott told him that until he hears a yay or nay that he will be recruiting Gustin as hard as he can and will be visiting as often as he can.

- ND has reached out to UM commit, Brian Cole. The reconnection is in the early stages but if ND expresses serious interest, the interest will be returned. It should be noted that he moved on after it appeared ND wasn't going to offer but his mom does love ND.

- In regards to Michigan, it doesn't appear that Michigan's next coach will have a good time digging them out. There isn't much hope for Shane Morris who will be a junior and current freshman Wilton Speight isn't receiving much fanfare. Word was Hoke and staff weren't exactly jumping for joy with the current crop of commits either. De=commits could be happening soon.

ISD Intel for tomorrow:

- Ron Jones is visiting with his mother who is pro-ND. Alford has been key to this whole thing and ND has a great shot. However, do or die as Christian put it. Mom will be with him and she's pro-ND.

- Another RB name to look out for is a RB who was on UAB last season and could play immediately. (On my phone. Name slipped my mind.)

- Jordan Cronkite is also a name to watch. As for Jeremy Smith, not visiting but it appears it's more ND then Smith.

- ND still feels good about A'lize Jones who is visiting with Nico. ND will take him and 1 other WR but not 2 WRs.

- Tristen Hoge moved in this week.

- Source tells Christian that it is a legit QB battle and either one can win but look for the reigns to be pulled back in order to protect the defense. (Where was this earlier?)

- As for the rumors of BK and the NFL: A recruits parent flat out asked him and the parent told Christian "It's not for him." Parent was satisfied.

I love this big body RB type we are after. Is BK considering a goal line package!? Noooooo...

Serious question... against Rice didn't we have some sort of wing T offense in the redzone? I know we did early but never saw it again. Why was that?

I have no recollection of the Wing T, but I was only able to catch bits and pieces of the opener this season. But....I'm guessing the formation didn't work, cause BK has a history of bailing on new formations and schemes the second they don't work.

Best BK move ever (and is so BK it hurts) was the USF game in 2010 when we brought in defenders on the goal line (I remember Fleming and Carlo...maybe a DL also?) to block. Then, Gray fumbled and it was returned for a TD. He's never brought in a defender on the goal line since.

BK also stopped setting up the punt return after the Cuse punter ran for about 50 yards this year.

We've also been in kick-safe every time since the MSU fake FG.

Whenever BK gets burned by something on the field, he refuses to let it happen again. Even if it means sacrificing something like the punt return or the potential to block a FG.

That hurts to read. I am going to look for what I was talking about because it had Luatua out there for it and I was excited about the goal line package. Then it disappeared....

No, I'm sure you're right. I missed some good chunks of the Rice game. I know for a fact that Luatua did play. I actually think I know what you're talking about. I think we were in the Pistol, with 2 TEs lined up in the wing?

It just made me think of other things that BK has tried in the past and instantly given up on lol
