Never, ever root for USC. Jim Mora may be a pain in the ass, but never forget how loathsome the Trojans were before Cheaty Petey took off and Kelly came in. That was a decade of pain and anguish...the longer it takes Southern Cal to rise back to the elite, the better.

Could not agree more. FUSC, fuck them so hard.

You bite your tongue!!! Haha, never in a million years could I do that.

Now, if something were to happen to EV, and on the way to the locker room his cart ran over Mora, well, I wouldn't shed too many tears...

Fair enough. If only there was a way for them both to lose. Other than the two programs being morally corrupt...

Really? I always root for our opponents when they're not playing us. Strength of schedule and all.

An elite USC is something I hope I don't see for a while. Unless they can permanently be hamstrung by scholarship limitations, the future of that Trojan program scares me.

I do too w/ a couple of exceptions:

1) USC - I want them to be a strong opponent but I do not want them to win 10+ games every year and get back to being a powerhouse. I enjoy seeing their championship hopes go down the drain when they lose to ND, Stanford, and Oregon every year. But by all means, win the rest of them.

2) Michigan - See above. I can't stand when UM wins a bunch of games and gets into the discussion of being elite when they play in the B1G. Again, I'd prefer them to be around 9 wins every year. It keeps them as a solid opponent for ND, but keeps the hype at a minimum surrounding the program since they're not competing for any championships.

That's fair. I guess I also root against them if they're playing a particularly meaningful or high profile game with potential for national embarrassment (College Gameday, losing to an FCS team, etc).

What was the deal with the teaser on ND fans needing to check out the Baker decision today?

I think because the thought is that if Baker picks Florida (been a bit of buzz on that lately) Coney will choose ND.

I'm surprised Baker and Coney would be playing the same position at Florida. I figured Coney was inside, Baker outside.

I guess I don't see how Baker's decision would have much impact. Florida took no linebackers last year and are looking to take 3-4 LB's this year from at least one site I looked at. So far this year they have no commits at LB. Unless Florida sees Baker and Coney playing the same position and Florida is confident they can get 2-3 LB's from the remaining prospects, it doesn't seem like Baker would effect Coney's decision.

Hey I'm just passing along what I thought I read. I could definitely be wrong. But any reason that'd push another talented front 7 player to the Irish is a good enough reason for me.

I would love for USC to lose every game, every year.

May Michigan never win another game. RIP, Fielding Yost.

Like an impressionable blue chipper my top 3 hate list changes all the time. USC, Michigan and a third spot for spontaneous hatred.. Currently being held by UCLA.

At any minute, on any day, for any reason the order can change. But USC and Michigan will never leave the list.

Hard to argue with that, well said.

"ISD Intel"

Saw there was a new intel up with some updates on some of the freshmen.

Nothing crazy. Most info is already known. Corey Holmes was talk about a bit. All positive. He's tight with Golson and Zaire and mimicks Russell in workouts.

So amusing story is that Nyles Morgan just asked ISD if he can view the newest intel that dropped about him.
