I take it that was Shembo's dad that he was hugging and kissing. Great to see he is well after his brain aneurism. It brought a tear to my eye.

Te'o telling all those guys that he loved them was great as well. I love teams that are more than just teams but families.

Note: I typed this while watching the entire vid. I see it's been confirmed that that was Prince's dad. That was indeed a great, great moment.

I think outside of Prince and his dad, my favorite part is right after Floyd's TD.

Kelly says "that's why your the best ****ing receiver in the country right there."

Just had a chance to watch and the Shembo scene was awesome!!

"That's how we do it in the BEND BABY!!" by Theo , and "Oh my G**, Oh my G**,..." by Cierre was hilarious!

New Irish Connection #15. Nothing really to do with this team but takes you back to the Big House and Rocket Ismail explains both of his KR's in detail. Pretty cool, to get inside the head of a player during great plays.

they need to add a video of the b-2 flyover for AF that was very cool...

Yes, it was very cool. I've only seen jets before now I think, the B-2 was the first one I've seen. The thing was so big, and moving slower than the jets normally do of course, I thought it was part of the stadium when I first saw it. Yeah, that sounds odd, but it was almost like a shadow of the scoreboard or something from my angle.

I love these Irish Connection videos, so cool to see reactions like after the big Hendrix run, and the surprise for Shembo.

Love the part after the Hendrix run...

His teammates (Crist and Mulvey I think) are asking him about it

Hendrix: "I ran out of gas!"

classic... Love the ICON vids, stroke of brilliance by ND

Yes, I have to admit I have had a man crush on Rocket for 20 some odd years. I was in Africa when that game was played so I watched it on a video tape my Mom sent me from home two weeks after the game was played and I was jumping all over my living room when Rocket left the atmosphere. And he still makes me giddy with his enthusiasm and class.

Just finished.

I didn't know Reggie Brooks played defense too.

How often did he play both ways?

Or did he start off playing at CB?

I don't believe he ever played "both ways". Jeff Burris is the only one I can think of that started on defense and played RB in Holtz's Full House Goal Line Offense.

Reggie played where the need was at the time. He was a buried in the depth chart as a freshman in '89. RB was loaded in the early 90's, a true stable. Culver, Bettis, Mirer, and Ishmail all shared carries with the RBs. Dorsey Levens was behind Watters and Tony Brooks and transferred after '90 to find PT. Reggie was a backup to Todd Lyght so I don't recall him seeing the field very often. Lyght is considered the best corner to play at ND. Rod Smith, Greg Lane, and Burris were the other corners then. Lots of talent at RB and DB.

Furthermore, how awesome is Irish Connection? I swear this has to be way more access than other schools get. Watching BK go through ESPN interviews was legit.

Very good episode today. I love watching those old game highlights, gives me chills! How about the band and even fans running into the end zone after touchdowns, I LOVE IT! 1st time I have heard of the crowd getting a penalty for being too loud, whoever thought that was a good rule was an idiot.

I didn't know he played DB at all.

There is a highlight of Reggie with an INT against UM.

In the "Kelly goes to Bristol" part of IC 16, at the 14:05 mark Kelly is in the studio speaking with Christian Fauria and some chick and he says "we have seven commitments already; soft commitments."

Anybody care to guess what he was talking about?
