Do you want to carry around a tablet in your pocket every day?

If not, 6.

If so, 6+.

I've never really wished that the screen on my 6 was bigger, and the fact that I never have to worry about it fitting in my pocket is nice. Also, no bending!

I just converted from a Samsung Note to the 6+. Can't compare to the 6, but so far I like it. Some things are better than the Droid, some Droid things I miss. The size.. I've always used a holster. I'm on the phone all day either talking or emailing. Batter life is fantastic. All the 5 and 6 folks that went 6+ love it at the office.

Warning, do not put the 6+ in your back pocket. Some of my folks have done that, and the phone has actually warped a bit. Still works fine, but has a slight bend. You can't tell unless you really look at it.

I use a Note 4 so I'm definitely in the "big ass phones are awesome" crowd. I'd never buy an Apple product personally, but on the form factor alone I'd go with the 6+.

Thanks guys. The main intrigue for me is that the 6+ has a better camera. 90% of what I do with my phone for work is taking pictures, because then I can easily distribute them right from my phone to whoever... which I can't do with a digital camera. But my iPhone 4S struggles mightily with low light pictures (or basically dealing with shadows, etc.).

But the size really worries me. Seems like it's too big and I'd be likely to damage it or at least struggle to use it with one hand.

My personal phone is Android. This is an upgrade through work, so I don't have a choice. But I'm also not arguing with a free phone lol...

WTF with IE crashing constantly? I have to shut down 25% of the time when I change pages.

Is it JUST your work phone, or do you use your work phone as your personal device as well? I wouldn't even consider using a Note or 6+ unless it was my only device.

EDIT: You answered my question.

If the camera is what you really need it for, go for the 6+. It has optical image stabilization, (better camera) like you mentioned. Battery life is better too.

If it was for your personal phone, I would have recommended the 6. I have the 6 and I love it.

Do you know "how much" better the camera is on the 6+ versus 6?

Here's an article I dug up: iPhone 6 vs. iPhone 6 Plus camera shootout! | iMore

Bottom line:

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus both have fantastic cameras. The iPhone 6 Plus does slightly better in low light situations due to the OIS allowing the shutter to stay open for longer but the difference in many cases will be negligible and unless you're comparing side by side, you'll be happy with the photos off each of these devices.

Since you mentioned you have problem with low-light, the 6+ with the OIS would help with that.

Another article to look at: iPhone cameras compared: iPhone 6 vs. iPhone 6 Plus vs. iPhone 5S - CNET

Also, the OIS helps with camera movement in general. It's always going to be best to be perfectly still when shooting, but there are times when that's not possible such as snapping from a moving car. There's only so much OIS can help with this situation, though.

But, back to our original point: If you shoot a lot of low-light photos and frequently find yourself enlarging and cropping in on things, it might be worth going with the larger 6 Plus.

Similarly, if your hands shake a lot when taking pictures (or video for that matter) or you have way too many blurry shots in your collection from chasing your subjects around or shooting while moving, you might find the OIS beneficial.

Why does this all not surprise me?

I can see you now... walking around the mall staring at your massive tablet while looking for a new cardigan. Drinking diet fountain soda.

I enjoy fanboy wars (and the hyperbole and comedy that follow therefrom). iPhone versus Android, Mac versus PC, Marvel versus DC, Star Wars versus Star Trek, Xbox versus PlayStation... it's all golden.

I have a 6.

The wife has a 6+.

I prefer the 6 simply because the 6+ is huge. She prefers giants screens whereas I don't. I don't notice much of a difference between pictures, videos etc. The 6 does the work just fine.

It really is all about if you want a huge screen or not. Thats kind of all your paying extra for.

Honestly unless you are really looking for a huge screen for a particular reason (travel a lot and want to watch movies or something), you will probably not feel short changed by the screen on the 6. As well, the camera is more than sufficient on the 6 I've found. Actually takes very high quality pictures. And if you're upgrading from a 4 or 5 you will be blown away I bet.

My wife bought me the 6+ in February for my 50th birthday. It is big, especially with the case, but I'm getting used to it. It is my first i-phone so I'm still getting used to it, but the size kinda grows on you. And with my old eyes, the big screen is not a bad thing.

The bolded is definitely true. When I use my wife's "normal" sized phone, it seems tiny even though it's bigger than any phone I had used prior to my new one. The large device becomes normal after just a few weeks.

Go to AT&T or Verizon and play with both for a few minutes. Touchy, feely is the best. Plus the tech nerd geek at the store can answer your question about the phone. Heck , he'll probably take some pics for you and let you see the difference, if you can see a difference.

That was a pretty funny video, to be honest. I appreciate Apple's commitment to design and it's gotten a lot better since they moved to Unix-based OS's. However, they still push overpriced, underfeatured crap that requires reduplication of developer effort. It's the same reason (though to a lesser degree) behind why I would very much like consoles to mostly disappear. Playstation and XBone are trying very hard to be PCs and in turn holding back game development. They don't really offer anything unique besides the "overpriced, you can only do what we let you, please pay to play online" experience. Despite Apple's contributions to consumer electronics design, I hate how they have created a culture where brand loyalty often trumps critical thinking.

There are a lot Androids that are better across the board than the same generation iBrick counterpart. The HTC One line, in particular, does a fantastic job with pictures in low light conditions. If you have any choice at all in brand, LAX, please consider your options carefully.

Sounds like you hate Apple.

I've had the note for years and it's great. I carry it in my front pocket and the screen cracked while I was carrying something (didn't realize I had the weight pressed on the phone). I assume it could happen to any phone but the size may have played a part. Haven't had any other issues carrying the phone, though. One hand operation is a bit trick at first but you'll get used to it and I find it easy (I have giant hands and use swype technology to text so that may make a difference).

Just got the 6. After only a day or so, the 5's screen seemed ridiculously small. IMO, the 6 is a perfect size, and the 6+ too big. Everyone I know that has a 6+ complains about using it for it's true purpose. It's like holding a book to your ear.

My relationship with Apple is a complicated one. I think they offer some products, like the iMacs and Macbooks used in science and engineering labs, which are absolutely essential to high productivity (probably the most usable UNIX platform on the market, which is just the tits if you do simulation work). My main issue is really blind brand loyalty, which enables Apple to get lazy and ship junk they know will sell with high margins.

They also have made some decisions which I consider to be fucky--the non-USB charger they use, one-button mice, and firewire to name a few.

Lax, fwiw here is some anecdotal info. Sorry if a little lengthy...

I had to upgrade our senior management team late last summer from 5's, and ordered a 6+ for our CEO, myself and 2 other VP's; I ordered a 6 for our CEO's Exec Admin; one other VP said she'd stay with the 5 that she had for awhile:

I went directly for the 6+ myself: I need to review spreadsheets and contracts/other documents remotely on a frequent basis, and liked the extra 'real estate' for reviewing. Found the phone a little big a first, but have gotten used to it. Don't get the comments around back pockets/etc, but I don't wear skinny jeans at work, and find it fits fine in a suit pocket, my shirt pocket, my pants front or rear pocket. Camera I found better, battery has been fantastic; resolution of the display is notably better/richer. I don't carry a personal cell phone, as I am able to use my work one for personal purposes....if I did have to carry a personal phone, I'd probably just stick with a 5. That being said, since these are work devices, the 6+ was more suitable for my needs.

Our CEO didn't really compare the two, and just took what I got for him.

Our VP Marketing had her 5 crash, so I took the 6 that was destined for the Exec Admin and gave to the Marketing VP to use while her 6+ was coming in. Originally the VP Marketing said she would stick with the 6, but she used my 6+ for awhile and decided to wanted the 6+. Again, screen resolution, size (for viewing media/etc), and battery were important to her

Our VP Creative was waiting for his phone, and considered the 6 as well, but uses his phone for a lot of video, and content rich documents; again the larger screen and better resolution won him over, as well as the battery life - especially in talk mode (since he spends much of his day on the phone)

The Executive Admin was upgrading from a shitty BlackBerry, so anything was an upgrade for her.

Finally, our VP Business Development decided to upgrade after seeing the two different phones in use, and trying each of them for a bit. She also decided on the 6+.

All 5 who got the 6+ were initially unsure about the size, but each has gotten used to it. All have been happy to have selected the 6+ over the 6.

I have a 6+ and love it. I don't feel it's too big. If you are really worried with the camera I'd say get the 6+ for reasons mentioned above. There is a 14 day buyers remorse period after you upgrade if you don't like the phone you buy. You could always test out the 6+ and if you don't like it, switch to the 6.

Also there are some sweet cases:
