I can see that to. Excited to see what they do with her.

BTW, I am not complaining, just curious thats all. I have not followed the devlopment of this movie like I have others.

BTW Black Panther is gone be soooo dope.

There was an outcry from some people on the outfit colors, thus true comic book nerd came out with their theory

Black Panther has always been a cool character on the comics and cartoons. He tends to be not as jokey as many others in the Marvel universe.

In the first Ant Man movie, no. In this trailer, YES.
I think it was the hair.

Shes got something that raises my spirits. Cant put my finger on it though. The longer hair is definitely a big difference.

Two things...

1) Black Panther premiered last night and is getting very good reviews so far

'Black Panther' first reactions: It's 'astonishing,' 'iconic' and 'will save blockbusters'

2) Ant Man and the Wasp just dropped their trailer this morning

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/VSF2xE07MvU" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe>

1) I have no doubt that Black Panther is going to be an awesome movie and I'm excited to see it, but it seems a lot of the hype in that article is basically because he's black and the movie has a black cast. It's understandable that black people finally have a black superhero, not counting Blankman, but that's not what is going to make this a good movie. It's the performances, directing, cinematography, etc. that's going to make it a great movie.

2) That trailer looks great. I'm wondering when the movie actually takes place because it's being released between the two Avengers movies. From the trailer it doesn't appear they're dealing with any of the fallout of Infinity War. It's kinda hard to believe that it could take place in a separate location while the events of Infinity War are happening and they wouldn't be aware of it. Guess we'll find out more after IW comes out.

BTW Evangeline Lily has always been hot. Fell in love with her during Lost. Her hair in Ant Man wasn't great though.

Brie Larson is also hot. Her uniform needs to be tighter.

Interesting thread. Most black people have great things to say.

Most white people responses amount to STFU, white privlidge, white grievance...etc... and some racist shit too.The worst one I saw being this:

I don't know what those things are.

You so white.

(Run The Jewels is currently my favorite rap/hip-hop thing, but they actually aren't on the official soundtrack. Just provide preview music.)

yep. I been scrounging youtube for songs on the soundtrack. I wasnt a Lemar fan before hearing the soundtrack but I might have to check him out.

My son is a metal head like me and he likes it too. The other day, I was working on my computer, and I heard the original "The revolution will not be televised" coming from his room. LOL.

Kendrick is good, but depending on his age, make sure he's listening to the edited versions lol.

My stepdad used to blast Metallica at full volume in our basement whenever he had a bunch of beers and felt like music, so my parents knew I could handle the "Parental Advisory" cuts at a pretty early age, but every household is different, so not sure where you fall on that.

Dude, Black Panther has been cool to me since I first saw him in the cartoons. As a king of his people, he always had a different bearing than the other heroes. And when Reginald Hudlin did the animated BET series, that was one of the few times my receiver stopped there (fyi 49 yr old could lose a few pounds but not fat white boy). That show was cool as hell and unlike any other animated show I had watched before and the cast was great too. So I wanted Marvel to bring Black Panther into the MCU for a while now as a fan of the character and outside the societal aspect, although I realize what it means in that respect too as DC did with Wonder Woman. And God knows Marvel did too. They took their time on this not to delay it because he isn't white...they knew they had to do this right or they would have to face a societal backlash. And getting the cast and writing and directing team together that they did, and from the sounds of those who have seen it already, it appears they did it write. I will be there that first weekend to see it.

I try but its hard. He has heard pretty much everything from other people but nothing very bad from me. I told him if I hear him saying anything close to a bad word I will wear my hand out on his rear end. He seems to understand that. He actually chastizes me and my wife if he hears us say anything like man or hell. lol He is a good kid.

I am probably more hype for Black Panther than I have been for any Marvel film to this point.

(I am also banking on some sort of tie-in in the future where the Black Panther has to use his power to control the undead in a feature film... could be the zombie film I've been waiting for.)

Not even a glimpse of the Venom costume yet???

I wonder if this is a full origin story, and the expected Venom look comes at the very end...

Was disappointed by that as well.

Venom was probably my favorite Marvel villain growing up, and Tom Hardy is awesome. Genuinely looking forward to this one.

On what planet does Venom make sense in a universe with no Spider-Man?

They say there is no connection/shared univers, but they're gonna have to do away with that at some point, right? Especially if there is a hard reset post-Avengers 4, where "Spiderman Homecoming 2" is supposed to be a "fresh start" to the universe?

I will note, though, that creating a strong villain might be well served by totally ignoring a hero's presence for a film or two. I don't know what the plot of 'Venom' is supposed to be, but you can make the military/government the bad guys in one film, and then bring another bad guy into the second film that causes some tension or something.

Once Sony/Marvel get their stuff totally in line, then you intro Spidey at the end of the second 'Venom' film (or after the 'Carnage' film we will inevitably get if 'Venom' is a success).

There's not going to be a hard reset post-Avengers 4. Tom Holland's Spider-Man is firmly in the MCU and Tom Hardy's Venom is firmly out of it.

IDK man... to me Venom has the ability to be a standalone character. He is still an anti hero to some extent and they could totally develop Venom into a legit character with som ecompelling stories. I dont think he is anything like the typical villain in the MCU movies so far, like Yellow Jacket, Strucker,Zemo, Red skull.

I think the same could be said for Dr. Doom as well. I would love to see him developed outside ot the FF.
