hovering around 195, down from 218-220 range in June. i need to buy new clothes!
Down to 225 from 250. Been hovering there for awhile so I'm a little frustrated, but I think it's because I'm gaining a lot of muscle mass.
I was down 15 lbs...then I went to Sandals for a week with the wife for our 20th. I am still down 10 and hoping by getting back into routine this week I will be headed back towards that 170-175 goal. Would be a 25 lb loss.
Staying away from the carbs is key...but I still like beer.
AWESOME! Great job guys. Any secrets to share? I'm stuck at the same weight for almost 3 months.....gotta exercise more.
The beer thing hurts. I haven't given it up... just cut back to 2 or 3 per week. Donuts and bearclaws talk to me when I walk by the pastry rack at the store: "Bishop, we still love you. How could you just turn your back on us after all we've been through together? Come back. You know you still want some of this." Temptation. Hang in there and good luck.

Carbs -- ****'em. All of them. Fruit included. Just eat meat (any type), nuts and cheeses. Alcohol is technically not a 'carb', but it spikes your insulin in such a manner that it might as well be. And it messes with sleep, which messes with your hormones.
Lift weights, and use heavy compound movements. Like squats. Lifting will build muscle and boost your steady metabolism, and the heavy compound lifts will help release testosterone and growth hormones.
Get 8 hours of sleep every day.
Started cross fit like a month ago. Before I started I was 200, I'm now at 190
Nice work. I started crossfit about 9 months ago and I love it. I had some setbacks so I thought I'd give you some advice before you experience the same.
Crossfit is extremely tough on joints, especially if you're rapidly increasing strength. I've worked out my entire life and have never had problems with my knees. About six months after I started crossfit, I developed tendinitis in both of my knees. I've been resting five weeks now and I'm still trying to get rid of the pain and inflammation. The program is great but you are squatting and/or using your legs almost daily. It's tough to heal. I suggest investing in a nice pair of knee sleeves. They keep your knees stable and warm and probably would have prevented what I'm going through now.
I would also recommend paying close attention to the trainers. To be blunt, some of them are morons. Don't accept their advice as true just b/c they are "licensed". If you pay close attention, you'll find the best trainer. Try to schedule your work out during their session.
Follow the diet. It works. I don't have issues with weight but I did reduce my body fat percentage.
Whatcha want?

I have a request to bump this thread and I'm taking it as a sign that I need to get back on track myself.
