Tennessee screwed up. They started with Schiano and have made poor decision after poor decision. Other universities have made good hires and moved along in the process fine. Tennessee is all time bad search. Being a resident of the sate i get to see it from here. It is bad.

Brian Kelly should have been fired after last year. But he saved his job for one more year. I think next year will be his last.

Tennessee is exceptionally bad, but it’s not like Dan Mullen was some home-run hire at Florida. And WTF is Herm Edwards to ASU? UCLA won with Chip Kelly, and A&M will if they land Jimbo. But several big-time programs are coming away disappointed here.

Hard to know for sure if Tennessee's AD was the problem or the Chancellor, but not surprising that the AD has been fired.
Overall, just a very bad look from Tennessee's Admin.

Dan Mullen is a fantastic fit for Florida. In three years, UF will be in better shape than A&M with Jimbo.

Mullen is a great hire imo. He did well at a average university(Football) and will kill it at Florida.

OK ... If this is true, I don't know if any coach will step foot in Tennessee's dysfunctional crapper. The one coach (besides Gruden) that the Vol fans appeared to be most pleased being the new coach didn't have the blessing of the Cleveland Browns owner. LOL

This whole thing is just amazing. Jimmy Haslam must think he is some sort of football savant. Until his influence is no longer over the Vols football program they are gonna continue to be a train wreck.

Tennessee screwed up because they eat their own (admin) and because of their fans' unrealistic expectations. They think the job is much better than it is in reality.

ND would have made a HUGE mistake firing BK last year, mainly because there was no proven guy waiting in the wings who would've been better. Who would have replaced BK if ND fired him last year? PJ Fleck? Jeff Brohm? Please...

Really? I would have approached Mullen, maybe an NFL coach and a host of others. The old argument oh they would not come is silly, many other universities would not have found their gem if they did not cut bait.. I don't want to argue this because we are STUCK with him. No one else wants him, NFL does not, not any other other big school (minus the silly rumors put out by his agent) We are what we are (Stuck ).
