Alas, I am a broken man with no free time to spend on such frivolities (as my wife usually points out). To miss out on SkyRim and GTA V... dang.....

It seems like it was only yesterday that I last played GTA (1999) and Oblivion (2002).

I was scheduled to pick it up at midnight last night, and planned to play all night, get a nap in, and head to work at 4pm. I was so excited that I paid the game off a year ago before the initial release date was even announced.

Then what happens? I get called to work a side job from 7am-2pm, so I scratched the midnight pickup. Got off at 2pm, picked the game up, installed it while I got ready for my full-time job, and had just enough time to play the first part of the first mission. I got sucked in so deep immediately that I was late for work. NEED MOAR.

I will definately get it, but I can't justify the purchase now... I am still engrossed in NCAA and The Show and have yet to really get into AC3... I'll pick it up at some point...

Must. stay. away. If I get sucked in I am not sure I will still have a wife or a house to live in in a month. I skipped so many classes in college playing.

I still miss playing GTA2 on the original Playstation. Birds-eye view, spraying bullets in circles, running over cars for hours on end with the tank. The whole series has been fantastic, but GTA4 was by far my least favorite.

You better hurry up with AC3, cuz AC4 comes out in a little over a month. Did you play all of the games before AC3?

I want to get this, but I couldn't finish IV(lost interest).
Besides I still haven't even opened Last of Us yet.

This will probably be a late winter purchase for me.
Maybe I'll ask Santa...

I used to love this series in middle school and high school but now five years removed from college the game doesn't appeal to me anymore. I'm basically just a sports/FPS gamer, for the hour of free time I actually have most nights, these days. I hope everyone who has gotten GTA V enjoys themselves..I remember spending countless hours playing.

GTA 4 was awful in my opinion, it had a lot of new graphics and cool features but I felt like it was the worst of the series. I think the story line was bad and I like some of you quit playing it after a few missions

Get AC: Brotherhood. The high point of the series. You can skip Revelations.

Nah I'm good... I played a bit of it... I honestly am more into the historic aspect of the scenery then anything...

You are doing yourself a disservice if you don't buy this game now and take off work or school tomorrow, Thursday, and Friday. Incredible.

i've been playing for about 6 hours today. played about 7 missions. taking my time to really get to know the characters and do some exploring.

the game is gorgeous. soundtrack is awesome.

the 3 different character aspect is a great change of pace.

havent met trevor yet, the crazy meth addict.

typical rockstar humor is immersed in everything that happens.

amazing. im glad i have this week off!

I'm only a few hours in, but I like this game much, much more than GTA 4. I disliked GTA 4 too. IMO they actually removed a lot of features and vehicles that had been in GTA SA, and the game felt kind of bland. Plus people wouldn't stop ****ing calling you all the time! It got really, really annoying because you could lose perks or whatever if you ignored someone long enough. From what I've seen and heard, that isn't the case in GTA V. I've gotten some calls from people, but never during a mission and theres no meter showing how I've lost favor with someone if I ignore a call.

So far I've done the intro missions with Franklin. I like the characters I've met so far, way better than Niko and his fat cousin from GTA IV. I've done a bunch of the Freak/Stranger missions. Some of these random Freak/Stranger missions are cool. The tow truck one was kind of boring, but it's an income stream and the crazy weed chick that rides with you is kind of amusing. Just before I called it quits tonight I went to the strip club, "made it rain" for my favorite stripper so I could get her like/attention meter up. Then I took her to the back for a private dance, groped her and flirted with her while the bouncer wasn't looking, then she invited me back to her place for "coffee" (It's no different than the unmodded/ vanilla date endings in GTA SA and GTA IV). The nice thing about the private dance was the dancer wasn't wearing pasties this time, so they're at least pushing the envelop a bit...well, they would have if other games like Witcher 2 hadn't already done it with nudity and sex scenes. GTA is more mainstream though, and it seems when they "push the envelop" it raises more eyebrows for whatever reason.

Dude they are all immersed into history, thats why i love the series so much.

AC Brotherhood is ROME, and AC Revelations is Constantinople. And they are both absolutely beautiful games.

They are all amazing imo. But if i had to choose a favorite its still AC2. This new one comming out though may take the prize.

The map is almost overwhelming but in a good way. Last night i stole a 4 wheeler, drove up the mountain. Then drove my 4 wheeler into a sky lift that takes you to the top of the mountain, at the top of the mountain i see a parachute. Equip the parachute and then proceed to drive my four wheeler off the top of the mountain thus pulling the parachute cord. Oh i have also done a few missions

Man I really really want this game, but my PS3 broke for the second time over the weekend. I got the YLOD again. Luckily the place that repaired it will do it again for free since it is under warranty. Can't wait to get a PS4.
